Competing among some of the Midwest’s best U15 teams, MN Select proved their mettle in handling each opponent on their way to the title. In Round 1 they faced off against Chicago Elite 15, Illini Elite 15 Cardinal, and FC Elite 15 Navy.
Their opening match against Chicago proved to be one of their toughest matches on the weekend as MN Select pulled out a three-set win with an intense 15-13 win in the final frame. It was smooth sailing from then on as they swept Round 2 pool play with 2-0 victories over both MVA 15 National Black and WVA 15 Black to earn a spot in the championship match.
A formidable opponent was awaiting in Milwaukee Sting 15 Black, also undefeated at 5-0 and having lost no sets heading into the championship. Extra points were needed in set one with MN Select earning the 26-24 win while set two ended with a 25-22 advantage to complete their weekend.

MN Select 15-1 was the only North Country Region team competing in 15 Open from the NCR and Minnesota.
15 Club
The 15 Club tournament saw four NCR Minnesota teams participate. MN Select sent both their 15-3 and 14-2 teams, while Vital 15-1 and Club 43 U151 Nat also competed.
MN Select 14-2 was the only team among the four to advance to the Gold bracket playoff. With a 5-1 record on the weekend, a 2-0 quarterfinal win led them to a tough opponent in Illini Elite 15 Black. Their run would end in the semifinals where they fell 25-20, 25-19 to finish tied for 3rd overall. MN Select 15-3 finished 3-3 and in a tie for 11th place overall following an 0-2 Silver bracket semifinal loss. Vital 15-1 completed a 2-3 tournament in a tie for 21st place overall after dropping their final match in the quarterfinals of the Bronze bracket. Club 43 U151 Nat finished the event on a high note needing an extra set to win the final match of the Copper bracket. They finished in 25th place overall and a 3-3 record.
