The 6’0 Opfer had more than 400 kills last season or the Bluejays to bring her career total to more than 1,000. However, she’s also a standout in basketball, which complicates her recruiting process.
“I am still yet to decide if I want to play volleyball or basketball in college, so I have no clue when I will decide to commit,” Opfer said. “I definitely haven’t made my mind up though, I still have lots of options.”
Opfer said – in terms of volleyball – she has made visits to Doane, Hastings, Concordia and Nebraska-Kearney. She also said she has visits scheduled for later this school year to Northwest Missouri State, Wayne State and Washburn.
“As I decide which college is the best fit for me, I would like a college fairly far from Seward and I would like a fairly decent amount of students attending,” Opfer said. “I would say my top two schools are Washburn and Hastings so far!”
