Kroll has a great story in that she has worked very hard to put herself on the top 16U team for CIA (CIA 16Black). She has been a second team outside hitter up until this season. You wouldn’t know that by watching her play this season. A dynamic attacker and vocal teammate, Kroll continues to catch your eye while going through the front row rotations. She spends some time in the back court and will continue to develop her ball control skills. Because of her work ethic, it will only be a matter of time before we see her play six rotations. Extended time in the weight room, extra lessons and beach volleyball will continue to elevate her game. She is definitely one to watch.
Morgan Weber – CIA 18Black – 2020 5’10 6-rotation OH – Dike-New Hartford HS
Morgan Weber is a dynamic athlete that will excel at the next level. A very easy jumper, she has great range as an attacker. This past club season she played with CIA 18Black as their L2. Playing with teammates Tayah Mahi (UNI), Lolo Weideman (USD) and six other D1 athletes has really helped build confidence and raise her level of play. CIA 18Black finished the season ranked #61 in Prepvolleyball’s National Poll and Morgan was a big part of their success this season. Probably two of her strongest attributes are her quickness and knowledge of how to win. Weber plays High School volleyball for the formidable Dike-New Hartford alongside Sydney Petersen (Texas) and Baylee Petersen (UNI) and won the State Championship for the second year in a row. Defensively, she will continue to fine tune her skills, but she is known to always be around the ball. She reads very well and is very quick to get to the ball. Weber is a fun athlete to watch compete.
Halia Mahi – CIA 16Black – 2021 Setter – Cedar Falls HS 5’10
An outside hitter until last season, Mahi is transitioning to the role of setter and absolutely loves it. She has great hands which allow her to do some things that other setters can’t at this stage. Mahi is a coaches kid (Kalani – UNI assistant and Chris – CIA Director) and you can tell. She has a great feel for the game and has an understanding of how to help her team succeed. She also has great ball control skills and good body control, both of which come from playing beach volleyball at a very high level nationally. As she continues to mature in her role as a setter, she will have the ability to set at a high level. Mahi is known to have an infectious smile and an occasional giggle, which helps to calm the mood when her team is stressed.
