A very well-rounded pin that can do it all. She has the power to dominate and the finesse to frustrate the opponents defense. Thompson possesses a great platform and that allows her to pass half the court in serve receive and is becoming a great defender as well. Probably one of Thompson’s greatest attributes is her work ethic. She is always looking for additional reps, practices and workouts to help her continue to elevate her game.
Kate Nelson – 2020 6’0” 6-Rotation OH – CIS 16M
CIS 16M will rely a lot on the arm and ball control of 6-rotation outside hitter, Kate Nelson. Nelson has a high contact point and a variety of shots that makes her a top 2020 up and coming prospect. Nelson and her team will be battling in a tough field in the 16American division where they rank in the middle of the pack.
Raya George – 2019 5’5″ DS/L – Adrenaline 17Rox
Adrenaline Volleyball Academy director Tim Keating says, “Raya George is one of the hardest working athletes we have. Her intrinsic drive to get better is unparalleled. George has been with AVA since her 14s year and continues to grow and develop her game every year. Between her personality and work ethic, George will be a great player for any program.”
Eve Magill – 2021 6’4″ OH – Six Pack 15s
Magill is a lengthy OH with a lot of control for her size. Her team relies on her to terminate both in system and out of system; and she does just that. Magill is a point scoring machine, which makes her team Six Pack 15U very lethal going into nationals. We are all looking forward to watching this fiery player take her game to the next level.
Abbey Fryauf – 2019 6’2” OH/RS – Iowa Rockets 17R
Fryauf’s ceiling is huge, and she hasn’t even started to brush the top. Fryauf can hit the split, tool the block, hit it hard down the line, or place it perfectly in zone 1. Her physical 6’2” frame makes her a dynamic blocker on the right side and a lethal hitter on the left. Coach Allie Hutcheson is able to move her around wherever the team needs depending on their opponent. Her love for the game, her infectious smile and elite level work ethic will be the intangibles that allow her to be a big asset to whichever college program she ends up at.
Mackenzie Murphy – 2019 6’0” 6-rotation OH – Adrenaline 17 Black
Murphy has shown tremendous growth over the last two seasons with Adrenaline Volleyball Academy. Her commitment to the training process has excelled her into being a phenomenal athlete with a high volleyball IQ. Her skills set and ability to run any tempo along the net will make Murphy a dynamic player at the next level. Being a long 6 rotation athlete, she will be a great get for any college program.
Akacia Brown – 2020 6’1″ 6-rotation OH – Iowa Rockets 16R
The extremely heavy arm of Brown will help 16R power through nationals. Her presence at the net is intimidating and her ball control is excellent. Brown has come a long way this season, working on her back row game as well as countless hours at Strength University before practices. Brown and her team start play on July 1st in Detroit.
Emily Clapp – 2019 5’10 OH/LIB – Club Iowa Juniors (CIA)
Emily Clapp has played all positions in her high school/club career. She started her club career as a middle hitter. She was moved to the outside hitter position her sophomore year of high school and then transitioned to the libero position as a 16U athlete. This season she has split duties as an outside hitter and a libero. An easy jumper, Clapp can elevate and attack at a high level and that’s what makes it hard to keep her in the libero position. She also possesses a very natural touch on the ball with her platform, which puts her in high demand as a libero.
