Crazy as it is, post-season is right around the corner for Iowa high school volleyball with first round of regional play beginning October 16th. Region 1, located in the northwest corner of Iowa, has tremendous talent and experience at the state tournament. In 2017, four of the five 2nd place titles went to Region 1 schools.

Region 1 Finishes at the 2017 State Tournament:

  • Class 1A Runner-Ups: Gehlen Catholic
  • Class 2A Runner-Ups: Western Christian
  • Class 3A Runner-Ups: Sioux Center
  • Class 4A Runner-Ups: Sergeant Bluff-Luton
  • Class 5A 3rd Place: Ankeny Centennial

Here is a look at the post-season match-ups and predictions for Region 1 all classes. The winner of each region will advance to the 2018 Iowa State Volleyball Tournament taking place November 6-9.
