Why The Prep Dig Gauntlet?
Top competition, exposure, and an experience – that’s what makes the Prep Dig Gauntlet a tournament with a different niche than others.
We’re busy securing teams for the inaugural Prep Dig Gauntlet, hosted at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison, the first weekend of June. The action will tip off with a Showcase on Friday, May 31 and continue the following morning with a tournament of 14s Open/Club – 17s Open/Club. It will be an exciting way for athletes, club coaches, and college coaches to bring in the summer as well as the live recruiting period!
Prep Dig has been committed to providing coverage for volleyball on a year-round basis. Our motto is that “Every player is worth covering” and hosting a tournament like this will put the content, social media, photography, and video on overdrive.
Competition
With nationals only being a couple weeks away after this event this is the perfect time for some fine-tuning for clubs and gaining momentum heading into the most important time of the year. With a 14 Open/Club – 17 Open/Club we have committed clubs in FC Elite out of the Appleton, Wisconsin area who won the Badger Region Qualifier for 16s and 17s. Additionally, their 15s were 5th in the National Division of USA Volleyball Nationals. Chicago Elite will be making the trip to Madison as well. CE’s 15s team is the reigning the National Champions in the 15 Club Division, which they claimed last year in Orlando. Teams will have three matches on Saturday and at least two matches on Sunday with competition ending Sunday afternoon.

Prep Dig currently has sites in five states (Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska, and Wisconsin). We analyze and rank hundreds of players per class. Our team of writers loves to be in the gym and discover the athletes on the rise. Athletes who are at the Division 1 level get discovered early, but we’re committed to continuing our coverage to include all high school players, with the hope of providing visibility to athletes who may have never gotten any before.
We will have our writers at this event as well as videographers and photographers to keep the content steady on PrepDig.com and our many social media channels. Articles like the “Prep Dig Gauntlet All Tournament Team,” “Rising Stars at Prep Dig Gauntlet,” “New Prospects On The Radar,” and “Teams Building Momentum To Nationals” are only a few you could expect from an event like ours.
