Many of these high level athletes have already made the final decision where they will take their talents next. However, there are a few who are still in the recruiting process waiting to be picked up. Here is a look at the top 2020 uncommitted athletes in the Great Plains.
Be sure to check these athletes out at the next showcase/club tournament before they make their final decision!
Kenzie Foley Kenzie Foley 5'11" | OH Sergeant Bluff-Luton | 2020 State IA is an outside on the Midwest Volleyball Power 17/18 Blue team. The 6’1” hitter was a kill leader for the Sergeant Bluff Warriors, registering 489 kills and earning Class 4A All-State her junior season. Foley is a great all-around player who can play six rotations and pass at a high level. She’s strong, competitive, and doesn’t get rattled easy. Foley and MVP 17/18 Blue finished 5th overall in the 18 American division at the January Thaw tournament.
Jecenta Sargisson Jecenta Sargisson OH Le Mars | 2020 State IA is a 5’9” right-side also on the MVP 17/18 Blue team. Sargisson recorded 245 kills for the LeMars Bulldogs her junior season, earning her 2nd Team Lakes All-Conference. She is someone who is highly versatile and can play on both pins. Sargisson is physically very strong and does a nice job hitting sets of all tempos.
Molly Plahn is a 6’0” middle on the Nebraska Elite 17 Frost squad. The team recently competed in the 17/18 club division at the January Thaw where they finished 3rd overall. Plahn finished her junior season at Millard North with 126 kills and 77 blocks. She is a dynamic and explosive athlete who can run every pattern effectively and is super quick laterally. Plahn will be a great offensive threat in college and is capable of playing all front-row positions.
Mayah Delgado is a 6’0” opposite for Nebraska Elite 171 Frost. Delgado touches 10’0” and registered 347 kills and 81 blocks for Duchesne her junior season. She is a dominant blocker and a big physical presence on the court. Delgado is a hard worker in the weight room and continues to improve daily.
Abby Plouzek is a VCNebraska 17 Elite member. This 6’2″ middle touches over 10’ and is a solid blocker and exceptional attacker. Plouzek is a standout at Dorchester, registering 344 kills her junior season. She is a dynamic middle who is great off of one leg and has a great vision for the game.
Carly Rodaway is a 6’ right-side of Pius and also competes on VCNebraska’s 17 Elite team. Rodaway hit a .333 hitting percentage her junior season. Rodaway attacks at an extremely high level. She terminates from the right-side as she has range cross court and down the line.
Sadie Emmett is a 5’4” libero from Lincoln Southeast. The VCNebraska 17 Elite member clocked 326 digs and dished out 107 assists her junior year. Emmett is a true libero. She can pass and dig in any situation and is an excellent out of system setter as well.
Up and Coming 2021’s
Jazlin De Haan (Midwest Volleyball Power 17/18 Blue) ~ Recently finished 5th in the 18 American Division at January Thaw
OH 6’1” – MOC-Floyd Valley
De Haan has the ability to play six rotations. She is a physical player who hits a heavy ball, passes well, and has an aggressive serve. She can hit multiple positions and has great size and strength for a high level.
Shayla McCormick (Nebraska Elite 16 2.0) ~ Recently finished 1st in the 17/18 Club Division at January Thaw
OH 5’10” – Skutt Catholic
McCormick is one of the best outsides in the state in this class. She can do everything. She is a dominant attacker, consistently great serve receive passer, and has high volleyball IQ.
Rayliene Joens (Nebraska Elite 16 2.0) ~ Recently finished 1st in the 17/18 Club Division at January Thaw
M/RS 6’1” – Elkhorn
Joens is a dominant blocker, dynamic attacker, and a great athlete. She touches 10-0”, has impressive lateral speed, and a quick arm. She is capable of playing any front-row position. If she continue improving at the same rate she has, she will be ready to help immediately at the next level.
