2020’s
Payton Hoatson is a 5’11” left-handed right-side for Nebraska Juniors 18 Black. Hoatson is a 2020 graduate from Sutherland High School and recorded 211 kills her junior season. She is one who has flown under the radar and is a hidden gem due to her school’s size and her limited club experience. She played middle for her high school team, but could be a great opposite attacker for someone at the collegiate level. She’s strong, jumps well, and has great control.
Lauren Taubenheim is a 6’2” outside for Nebraska Juniors 17 Black. Taubenheim recorded 322 kills and 332 digs for Lincoln Pius her junior season. She is an all-state level athlete who has tremendous upside. Taubenheim is a strong attacker and blocker and continues to work hard on her ball control and back-row defense.
Barrett Power is a 5’9 setter from Lincoln Christian and runs the offense for the Nebraska Juniors 18 Red team. Due to her birthdate, she has to play up a grade in club volleyball. Power dished out 732 assists her junior season at Lincoln Christian. She is a tremendous athlete and is improving into a great setter. She went on several visits last spring and summer and will likely entertain several more invitations through this club season.
Ellie Allen is a middle for Nebraska ONE 18 Power. The 6’2” hitter recorded 189 kills and 89 blocks her junior season for Crete. Allen is a strong athlete that can do some damage at the net with her block. She’s finding a new strength in her swing and is becoming a smarter player when she gets the ball.
Jenny Moenning-Linden is a versatile outside/defensive specialist for Nebraska ONE 18 Power. The 5’7” all-around player is on the smaller side, but makes up for it with her IQ and athleticism. Linden plays for Southern Valley High School and is coming back from an ACL injury stronger than ever, with coaches stating they can’t keep the girl off the court. She’s ready and willing to learn anything and everything she can about the game and has the most drive to be the best she can be. She is a natural leader and is always communicating with her teammates, whether it’s in rally or just encouraging words.
Mollie Grosshans is a 5’9” middle/right-side for Nebraska ONE 18 Power. Grosshans recorded 206 kills and 122 digs for Waverly her junior season. She is a silent, but deadly player. She doesn’t come off as a big threat just by looking at her, but she’s a smart player that knows how to get her team a kill. Grosshans is very consistent with her shots and swings and has a competitive drive that comes out at the right time in games.
Gracee Pohlmann is an outside/middle for Nebraska ONE 18 Power. The 5’8” hitter is a 2020 graduate from Aurora High School. Pohlmann is developing into her all-around play. She’s a great serve-receiver and puts up a bigger block than you would think for her size. She is a baller when it comes to crunch time and has a wicked serve.
Katy Bartell is a libero/setter for Nebraska ONE 18 Power. The 5’6” all-around player is a 2020 graduate from Eustis-Farnam. Coaches describe Bartell as a student of the game and a kid you can’t get out of the gym. Her life revolves around when she can get into the gym with her team. She will do whatever it takes to get on the floor and the voice and leadership she provides makes it hard to ever take her out of the game. Bartell takes hustle and effort to a whole new level.
Lexie Kreizel Lexie Kreizel Lincoln Lutheran | 2020 NE is a 5’8” libero/outside for Nebraska ONE 18 Power. The all-around athlete used her impressive ball-control to record 260 digs and 44 aces for Lincoln Lutheran her junior season. Kreizel is a super dedicated athlete to the sport. Lexie has a ton of experience as a libero and is learning to really read hitters and be at the spot before they even hit the ball. She can put her serve just about anywhere you need and will really get after it when the play is on the line.
Sophie Hendrix is a 5’10” six-rotation outside for Premier Nebraska 17 Gold. She used her high volleyball IQ to tally 200 kills and 275 digs for Papio South her junior season. Hendrix finds ways to put the ball away and is exceptionally controlled in the back row passing and playing defense. Not only is she great and put exceptionally effort on the court, but she works hard in the classroom as well.
Gabi Nordaker is a 5’10” middle/right-side for Premier Nebraska 17 Gold. The dynamic athlete used her versatility to record 235 kills and 67 blocks for Millard West her junior season. For being on the shorter side for a middle, she finds a way to take up a lot of room on her block and powers the ball onto the opponent’s side with her fast arm.
Kenedy Schaecher is a 5’5” libero for Premier Nebraska 17 Gold. She tallied 286 digs and 36 aces for Gretna High School her junior season. Schaecher is an extremely gifted athlete who reads the defensive game exceptionally well. She excels at leading by example from the backrow and maintains a steady offense by bettering the ball with every touch.
