It’s almost time for another tournament weekend, so let us help you get to know a few more of Iowa’s Prep players! Up this week is Council Bluffs Abraham Lincoln’s junior Sam Christensen. She was a 1st Team All-Conference, 1st Team All-District, and an Honorable Mention All-State performer. Christensen is playing with Southwest Iowa 3rd Degree Volleyball Club this season.
Q) What do you most look forward to in 2019?
A) “I’m super excited for this upcoming school volleyball season!! Seeing all of the same people from last season and being in that positive environment while playing volleyball is going to be so fun!!”
Q) What is the best team bonding tradition you’ve experienced?
A) “It’s hard to choose but whenever our team goes to hotels it seems to be so beneficial to our chemistry. We all become so close and I love it!”
Q) To who or what would you most contribute your volleyball success?
A) “I would definitely contribute my volleyball success to my parents Andy and Lisa Christiansen. Waking up at 5am on Sunday mornings for tournaments without complaint and supporting me through my ups and downs is just amazingly supportive. I am so thankful for them.”
Q) What is your most favorite part about the club volleyball season?
A) “My favorite part about club is that I get to see my friends from other schools. It is a nice relief knowing I will get to play volleyball with a group of girls that are just as passionate for volleyball as I am.”
Q) What is your favorite club tournament or city?
A) “My favorite part is when we go to Kansas City for a tournament because that is always where we get our best competition, and we all get to hang out together at the hotel before and after.”
