Continue ReadingWith this weekend’s President Day Tournaments, there are a lot of chances to get out and watch the Iowa Prep players! Today you can get to know Walhert Catholic’s Aliyah Carter! Carter, who is considered one of the top junior OHs in the Nation, helped lead Walhert Catholic to another State Title this season. The 4A Player of the Year and member of the Elite All-State team chipped in 550 kills, 260 digs, 48 blocks and 24 aces. The Kansas State commit is playing this season for Eastern Iowa Xtreme 17 Teal.
Q) What are you most looking forward to in 2019?
A) “What I’m most looking forward to in 2019 is getting better volleyball wise and school wise and just pushing myself.”
Q) What is the biggest life lesson volleyball has taught you?
A) “The biggest life lesson I’ve learned from volleyball is that sometimes bad things are going to happen and you might make some mistakes but it’s how you react to it that really matters.”
Q) What is your favorite way to spend time outside of volleyball?
A) “Outside of volleyball I love to hang with my friends and watch my brothers play basketball because in reality we’re all going to college soon.”
Q) What is your favorite club tournament or city?
A) “My favorite club tournament would of course have to be nationals because it just feels amazing being around volleyball for 4 days straight and it’s awesome being able to play with teams around the country.”
Q) What is your most favorite thing about club volleyball season?
A) “My most favorite thing about club volleyball season would be making new relationships with your teammates and watching everyone grow.”
