Effort Award:
The effort award is given to the person who gave the most effort and ask for nothing in return. This athlete decided the ball and her team’s needs were higher than her own needs. Hitting the floor with no hesitation.
2020 Katelyn Malick- Setter- Premier 17 Red.
Katelyn ran through anything to keep the ball alive. At one point she jumped through some chairs in order to keep the rally alive. She was willing to do anything necessary to be the best teammate she could be.
2022 Misty Hedquist-Libero-Midwest Volleyball Power
Misty was a mindful player. She was always in the right place at the right time and never afraid to hit the floor. She made being a Libero seem easy.
Physical Award:
The physical award is presented to the athlete in the gym that had the mental and physical attributes necessary to be a disciplined athlete and one that is a powerhouse in the gym.
2021 Dylan Moyer-Middle Blocker-Shock.
Dylan had what I call the “Let’s go mentality”. She is an athlete who is dialed into the game enough to find energy and excitement out of nothing. She was disciplined in her transition which made her always available to hit a hard ball. She celebrated with excitement and intensity and could be a natural leader on the court.
