RELATED: 2020’s Top Outside Hitters
- Kendall Murray, Ann Arbor Skyline/Legacy: The Michigan commit can play outside as well, but is a tremendous middle that helped Skyline make a run to the D1 regional final and has Legacy 17-Elite playing at a high level nationally. Murray can jump out of the building and is a tremendous block.
- Elizabeth Ruprich, Groves/Legacy: A 6’3” middle blocker that is committed to South Carolina, Ruprich is a talented athlete that has improved greatly over the years. Ruprich competes for Legacy 17-Elite as well and is a big defensive asset while continuing to improve her attacks.
- Natalie Foster, Mattawan/FaR Out: At 6’5”, Foster has size that you can’t teach. However, she has developed into much more than just a tall player. Foster is improving her all-around game and helped Mattawan be one of the top teams in the state this past fall. The Wichita State commit will be joining FaR Out 18 Black soon.
- Maggie McCrary, Traverse City Central/FaR Out: Also part of FaR Out 18 Black, McCrary also can play the right side. A powerful hitter, McCrary is really making strides in the last year and should be a real force for Traverse City Central next fall. McCrary is one of the many recent Michigan players to commit to Miami (Ohio).
- Megan Dombrowski, Eisenhower/Legacy: Part of a stacked 17-Elite middle group at Legacy, Dombrowski doesn’t have the height of her teammates, but can certainly hold her own. Dombrowski is committed to West Virginia.
- Clare McNamara, Northville: There may not be a better all-around athlete in the Class of 2020 than McNamara. A standout track and soccer player as well, McNamara can play at the next level in any sport she chooses. While lacking the size of other middles, McNamara has the athleticism to make up for it and can also play outside.
- Ayva Kooistra, Grand Rapids Christian/MVA: Kooistra had a great fall for Grand Rapids Christian as it went on to win the Division 2 state championship. Now she is helping guide MVA 17 National Black to a strong club year.
- Libby Cleaveland, Blissfield/High Street Athletics: A Jacksonville University commit that plays for Legends VBO, Cleaveland has a solid block and an improving swing. She can certainly climb up the rankings in the next year.
- Meghan Meyer, Lowell/MVA: Part of a Lowell team that made great strides this fall and took D1 runner-up, Rockford, to five sets in district play, Meyer has really shined in the past year. Part of MVA 17 National Black, Meyer provides a great middle blocker duo with Kooistra.
- Lila Splavic, Charyl Stockwell/Legacy: Splavic can play right side and middle, which is a great asset for a player that stands 6’4”. She was a major part of Charyl Stockwell Academy’s breakout season this fall and is part of a loaded Legacy 17-Elite squad full of talented hitters, especially in the middle.
