Each of these athletes works hard in and out of the gym to better themselves every day. Their dedication to their teams and the sport is inspiring.
These young athletes have truly excelled in the sport and deserve recognition. Here are the athletes that made the list. Want to know how the list is chosen and what the perks of making the list are? Check out my explanation here!
Here is the list, with comments on the athletes who I have had the opportunity to watch play this season.
Anna Becker – Libero/DS – Next Level VBC
Mackenzie Leach – Libero/DS – Milwaukee Sting – Prep Dig Rank #54
Sting has amazing depth at the 16’s level and Mackenzie is one of the reasons why. She is a talented libero who has a great presence on the court. She sets her team up for success, and they have had quite a lot of it this season already!
Katie Quinn – Libero/DS – Revolution Volleyball Academy – Prep Dig Rank #138
Maria Serb – Libero/DS – Revolution Volleyball Academy – Prep Dig Rank #115
Amanda Viel – Libero/DS – Milwaukee Sting – Prep Dig Rank # 53
Amanda is fast and scrappy. She gets a touch on everything and is talented on serve receive. Amanda is an athlete you want on your team. Her skill, energy, and enthusiasm all make her a well-rounded athlete with a lot of potential.
Maggie Allaman – Middle Blocker – Capital – Prep Dig Rank #49
Maggie’s speed, reach, and a fast transition is where she excels. She also just has great court awareness. She knows where the ball is at all times and runs plays accordingly. Maggie has a powerful hit and she is fun to watch.
Alexis Boling – Middle Blocker – Milwaukee Sting – Prep Dig Rank #6
If you want the definition of an energizer on the court, Alexis is it. She makes big plays and gets amped over every play, big or small. She is explosive on offense and a talented blocker as well. Her power in her arm swing is insane.
Molly Lawlis – Middle Blocker – Wisconsin Ice VBC – Prep Dig Rank #38
Alyssa Gerzel – Right Side Hitter – WI Juniors
Robyn Kirsch – Right Side HItter – Wisconsin Ice VBC – Prep Dig Rank #25
Martina Mcgrath – Right Side Hitter – Milwaukee Sting – Prep Dig Rank #65
Payton Addink – Outside Hitter – Capital – Prep Dig Rank #10
Payton Addink has so much talent it is hard to describe. Not only is she an effective hitter with a powerful swing and great shots but she also excels on defense. She covers the court well and has great court awareness.
Bella Bratzke – Outside Hitter – Milwaukee Sting – Prep Dig Rank #34
Bella has an incredibly fast arm swing that makes her effective in both the front and back row. She has a good vertical and then uses her fast snap to power the ball. Her line shot is consistent and hard to dig.
Grace Hanel – Outside Hitter – Next Level VBC
Jessica Pozezinski – Outside Hitter – Wisconsin Juniors
Tori Schuler – Outside Hitter – Wisconsin Juniors
I had the opportunity to see Tori play during the high school season. She is a talented all-around athlete who can be utilized as either a pin hitter or in the back row. Her consistency across the board is a huge asset to any team she plays on.
Julia Zortman – Outside Hitter – Revolution Volleyball Academy – Prep Dig Rank #137
Ella Foti – Setter – Capital – Prep Dig Rank #8 – Committed to Marquette
Ella is just an amazing athlete. She is fast, but her sets are even faster. She can make a perfect set, pin to pin, from anywhere on the court. She is so incredible to watch play. You barely even see the ball hit her hands before it is gone again.
Josie Halbleib – Setter – Capital – Prep Dig Rank #11
Josie is a 6’2” lefty setter who is hard to read and extremely smart with the ball. She has great court awareness and always knows what is happening on the other side of the court. Her ball control and strength on defense makes her an all-around great setter.
Kelly Page – Setter – Wisconsin Ice VBC – Prep Dig Rank #40
Morgan Yenter – Setter – Milwaukee Sting – Prep Dig Rank #16
This 6’0” setter has insane talent. She is fast, smart, and precise with her sets, even when the play is out of system. She runs a fast offense and isn’t afraid to make risky sets when she is off the net.
Talk about a talented group of young athletes. I hope to get to watch all of them play and cover them over the course of the season. Each of these athletes has a lot to offer their teams, both current and future.
