Cormaria Cooksey – 2019 – 5’6 – Pin Hitter – Homewood-Flossmoor – Sports Performance 18 CTE
Cooksey is a flat-out violent attacker. She isn’t the biggest swing and is an undersized attacker, but super smart. Cooksey uses the block extremely well and can smoke the line when it’s open.
Grace Rohde – 2020 – Pin Hitter – Winona (MN) – VHawk Xtreme 17 Adidas
Rohde has great elevation and a high contact point. She has a fast swing and shots to make her a dynamic attacker from either pin. Rohde took an inside set on the right side and turned it into a great thumbs-down line kill.
Kayla Lass – 2019 – Committed To UW-Green Bay – Wisconsin Ice 18 National
Lass is solid in serve- receive and can attack from any zone on the net. She is extremely versatile and has a killer cross body shot. Lass has so many tools and such good placement that make her so tough to defend.
Kinsey Allen – 2020 – 6’0 – Pin Hitter/Middle Blocker – Hillsboro (ND) – Midwest Première 17s
Allen has a high contact point and a really strong approach in being an offensive force. She is very effective and has a consistent topspin serve. Allen can also handle a tight set and hit a nasty cut shot with her high reach. She has all the tools and leadership to be a go-to player for Premiere throughout the season.
#71 Kortnee JostadKortnee Jostad – 2020 – Middle Blocker – Holmen – VHawk Xtreme 17 Adidas
Jostad is an athletic attacker. She is super springy and hits high over the block. Jostad also has a wicked serve that exploits the deep corners and seams.
Mackenzie Coplan – 2022 – 5’8 – Outside Hitter – CI HS (MN) – Minnesota Volleyball Academy 16 Elite
Coplan has great footwork, transitions well, and has a great range with the ability to hit a hard line shot. She is quick to the ball and times her attack well. Coplan is a strong middle back defender.
Maddy Weisensel – 2019 – Committed To UW-Lacrosse – Wisconsin Ice 18 National
Weisensel has such a high ceiling and a high contact point. She is a solid attacker from either pin and sets up a solid block on the right side.
Madison Gully – 2021 – 5’8 – Outside Hitter – St. Francis (MN) – Minnesota Volleyball Academy 16 Elite
Gully was a major point scorer for MVA this past weekend. She sees the block well and finds the open spot. Gully can hit the deep cross corner and line shots with a hard fast swing.
Maggie LawrynkMaggie Lawrynk – 2020 – 5’9 – Setter/Middle Blocker – SPASH – Wisconsin Ice 17 Purple
Lawrynk was everywhere. This is a player that is incredibly versatile. At SPASH in 2018, she was a defensive specialist, and this year for 17 Purple, she is setting as well as middle when the team’s starting outside hitter was missing for sectional basketball.
Their regular middle played outside and Lawrynk stepped into the middle while in the front row and setting for a couple rotations in the back row, as well as playing middle back for a rotation. She was super scrappy covering the corners. Lawrynk showed her ability to be a team player and going wherever needed.
Megan TouchettMegan Touchett – 2020 – 5’9 – Right Side – Verona – Capital 17 Navy
I had a lot of fun watching Touchett. She had great elevation and a fast swing. Touchett could pound the seam or hit line, and she played with great enthusiasm.
Sarah Galluzzo – 2022 – Outside Hitter – Roosevelt (Des Moines, IA) – Ignit 16 Blue
Galluzzo has a whip of an arm and can hit hard in the split as well as the line. She got a lot of great defensive touches. Galluzzo even took a hard hit to the face on day 2, took a moment, and then kept on leading her team.
