They won the 18 Club Division at the Rockin Rockford AAU Grand Prix in March, were runner-ups at the Badger Region Qualifier, and most recently took 3rd in the 18 Premier Division at the JVA World Challenge.
Here is a look at who Motion 18 Blue has on their roster for the American Division this weekend.
[player_tooltip player_id="12376" first="Anna" last="Nerad"]Anna Nerad Anna Nerad 6'1" | MB Waukesha West | 2019 State WI (Committed To South Dakota State) puts up a great block across the net and runs great routes on offense. On the opposite end of the rotation, Hannah Brown Hannah Brown 6'0" | MB Germantown | 2019 State WI Committed To Bellarmine) keeps the offense running quickly and helps open up the pins by being a credible threat in the middle. Abbie Becker (2019 – Middle Blocker) provides a strong 3rd middle option. Tori Zagorski Tori Zagorski 6'0" | RS Germantown | 2019 State WI (Committed To South Dakota Mines) is an athletic, right side/setter who is a solid all-around player. Riyan Clement Riyan Clement 5'7" | OPP/S Wisconsin Lutheran | 2019 State WI (2019 – 5’7 – Defensive Specialist – Wisconsin Lutheran) is a dynamic athlete that can set, and she also strengthened the right side position for Wisconsin Lutheran in 2018.
Rachel Roberts Rachel Roberts 6'0" | S DSHA | 2020 State WI (2020 – 6’1 – Setter/Right Side – DSHA) provides a strong defense against the opposing outside hitters and a strong offensive attack from either pin. Grace Sullivan (Committed to Aurora University) defends the back court, does a great job picking up tips, and is consistent on serve-receive. Jessica Connell (Committed To Western Illinois) is a talented setter who recently found her home for the fall. Maddie Seidenberg (2020 – Outside Hitter – Kettle Moraine) has had her share of battles against tough competition in high school, so it is no surprise she can compete in the 18’s. Katrina Schoen (2019 – 5’1 – Defensive Specialist – Cedarburg) and libero Kierra Koepke (Committed To Trinity) defend the back court with Sullivan and Clement to keep Motion in system.
