NSIC (Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference)
Augustana University
The Vikings, from Sioux Falls, South Dakota, posted a 10-18 overall record last season. They battled hard and took NSIC powerhouse, Concordia-St. Paul to 5 sets during the season, but fell just short of making it to the post-season conference tournament. The Vikings are looking to bounce back next season with a fresh new roster.

Wayne State College
The Wildcats are consistently a dominant force within the Northern Sun. Last year, Wayne State held a 22-9 overall record, competing in one of the nation’s top conferences. They made it to the NSIC Conference Tournament and lost in the first round to Southwest Minnesota State (conference runner-ups). The Wildcats ended the season receiving votes for the AVCA Coaches Poll.
Head coach of 14 years, Scott Kniefl, is excited about the incoming 2019 class. “We are very excited about this class and feel like they will not only bring added depth to several positions, but also bring in a few players that have the chance to make an immediate impact on the court this fall. With this class, we are adding a solid mixture of ball control, defense, and dynamic front-row play. We are excited to get this class into our gym and get to work.”
2019 PrepDig Ranked Nebraska Class for WSC
Kelsie Cada is a 6’1” outside hitter from Bishop Neumann. The all-around player recorded 437 kills and 453 digs her senior season and currently plays on VCNebraska ‘s 18 Elite team.
Taya Beller is a 6’1” middle blocker from Humphrey-Lindsay. She recorded 1,431 and 803 career kills and blocks respectively. Beller currently plays for Nebraska Juniors.
Jordan McCormick is a 5’10” libero from Elkhorn South. She recorded 518 digs her senior season and currently plays for Nebraska Elite’s 18 Ying team.
Elly Larson is a 6’0” outside hitter from Wahoo. She recorded 1,261 career kills along with 893 career digs. Larson currently plays on VCNebraska ‘s 18 Elite squad.
Jessie Brandl is a 5’7” OH/DS from Stanton. The all-around player recorded 1,399 career digs and 1,298 career kills. Brandl currently plays for Stanton Juniors.
Maggie Brahmer is a 6’0” outside from Pierce. She recorded 1,216 career kills and 449 career blocks.
University of Sioux Falls
The Cougars are coming off a 20-10 season in the elite NSIC conference. USF took down #12 ranked Southwest Minnesota State and #1 ranked Concordia-St. Paul during the season. They made it to the NSIC Conference Tournament, taking out Concordia-St. Paul for the second time that season, and lost second round to Minnesota Duluth. The Cougars ended the season receiving votes for the AVCA Coaches’ Top 25 Poll.

Adrianna Smith is a 5’10” outside from Aurora. She was tabbed on the Heartland All-Conference Team in 2017 and 2018 and currently plays for Nebraska Juniors.
