Here is a look at a few recent Class of 2020 commits that have made their decision on the next step of their volleyball careers.

Kali Wolf – Northern Lights 17-1 – Waconia High School – Outside Hitter
Committed to New Mexico
Wolf has been on the radar for the while, acquiring interest from coaches all over the country. The 2020 outside hitter brings a really solid all around game where she has a variety of shots, can serve receive extremely well and is a threat to score out of the backcourt. The Wolf family is no stranger to Division 1 volleyball with Kali’s older sisters Jessica and Taylor being on the NCAA Tournament team for Green Bay in 2018. New Mexico is part of the Mountain West Conference and is building a solid program under the direction of Jon Newman-Gonchar who has previous coaching experience at Iowa State and Arkansas. Wolf won’t be the only player as Lakeville South /M1 libero Alena Moldan from the Class of 2019.
Kate Neill – MN Select 17-2 – Providence Academy – Middle Blocker
Committed to UT-Chattanooga
Neill has been rising up the list of Class of 2020 prospects and has had a breakout year for MN Select 17-2. A 6’2 middle blocker, Neill is really deadly off one foot, running the slide where she is very terminal. Her quickness along the net as well as the ability to nearly touch ten feet goes with a major upside she will bring to Chatt. UT-Chattanooga is right along the Southeastern border of Tennessee and Georgia. They compete in the So-Con which was won by East Tennessee State in the regular season and Samford (AL) in the conference tournament.

Mikayla Coops – Northern Lights 17-2 – Belle Plaine – Right Side
Committed to Augsburg
Coops has just a hammer of a swing from the right side. The 5’9 lefty from Northern Lights will bring quite the offensive firepower to Augsburg right in the heart of Minneapolis. Coops was a top player for Belle Plaine last season where they were able to end their season at the state tournament. Augsburg had 22 wins in 2018 had made an appearance in the NCAA D3 National Tournament.

Ellie Danielson – Kandi Elite 17-1 – Minnewaska – Middle Blocker
Committed to Minnesota State-Mankato
Danielson will be joining a strong core of commits heading to Mankato that includes Bailey Berge and Emilee Terry from Kasson-Mantorville and a top Class of 2021 setter from Appleton, Wisconsin in Brooke Bolwerk. Danielson is a quick and athletic middle blocker who will be able to get from pin to pin to close the block and transition to score.
Lexi Pew – Kandi Elite 17-1 – Morris – Middle Blocker
Committed to Minnesota State-Moorhead
Pew is quite the combo in the middle with club teammate, Danielson. Very athletic, high contact point, and a solid defender, Pew will be heading up to Moorhead to become a Dragon. MSU-Moorhead has picked up plenty of in-state recruits to compete in one of the top Division 2 conferences in the country. The Kandi Elite 17-1 team also has setter Makayla Snow committed to Northern State which is also a member of the Northern Sun Conference.
