The second type is the High School teams that are looking for some early summer action to find out where their starting points may be. The later is the case for Marshfield Columbus Catholic who has a number of players that play for clubs in the central Wisconsin area but are not in pursuit of playing at Nationals. Let’s take a look at a few of the top Dons coming to the Gauntlet.
Briana Post – 2020 – 5’4 – Defensive Specialist/Setter – Wisconsin Ice 17 Black
Post is a great vocal leader and she will play any position to help her team. She is good in serve receive as well as anticipates well on defensive and you will see her consistently getting the ball up in play for her setter. Post can also step into set if needed so she provides a solid second contact when the 1st contact is played by the sitter.
Dorci Walker Dorci Walker OH Columbus Catholic | 2022 State WI – 2022 – 6’0 – Outside Hitter – Wisconsin Ice 15 Purple
Walker may be young, but she will definitely be a go-to player this fall. She is a six rotation outside that can play any position in the front low. Walker is an extremely athletic presence at the net.
Emmalee Jincinsky – 2021 – 5’10 – Middle Blocker/Outside Hitter
Jincinsky is a rare athlete that has height along with a 25-inch vertical. She is agile, quick and works hard both on and off the court. Best of all, Jincinsky is a great teammate.
Jessica Jakopin – 2020 – 5’10 – Middle Blocker – Central Wisconsin 18 Black
Jakopin has been on our radar for over a year now. She is a stellar blocker that presents a wall in front of opposing hitters and she has impeccable timing. Jakopin also holds the school record for the shot put and could be a great pick-up as a multi-sport athlete in college.
Maria Taylor – 2020 – 5’9 – Outside Hitter
Taylor is a very athletic outside that can elevate.
Meghan Kibbel – 2021 – 5’7 – Setter
Kibbel is giving the Dons the option of continuing to run a 5-1 offense. She has great hands and is fast to the ball. Kibbel also puts up a solid block.
