The 6’0 outside hitter really burst onto the scene during the 2018 club season for Nebraska Juniors and continued her strong play into her sophomore year at Milford where she finished her sophomore year with 223 kills and 155 digs. She is currently ranked as the #14 overall prospect in the Nebraska class of 2021.
“I’m currently uncommitted and I have been talking with a few colleges that am interested in pursuing my academic and athletic career at,” Kepler said recently. “I will be visiting UNK soon to see the campus. I recently went to a small camp at UNO to get on campus before May 1st and was really impressed with the facilities there. I am also interested in programs like University of South Dakota and Colorado State.”
Due to recent changes in the recruiting rules for Division I programs, contact with athletes is prohibited until their junior year of high school, which is why Kepler and others in her class or below needed to get onto Division I campuses before the rules took effect on May 1.
Kepler said she is determined to find the right fit for her both on and off the court.
“In any college that I have or will look at I will always be looking at the academic standpoint first and foremost. That is huge for me and that I know the college I attend has great programs to better my chance of success,” she said. “Also being somewhat close to home is important to me because I value family a lot!
“I think the recruiting process has been a little stressful at times – I’m not going to lie – but it’s always been my dream to play at the next level so it’s been fun and exciting as well to see different colleges and volleyball programs.”
