With plenty of schools trying to wrap up the Class of 2020 and athletes trying to make a decision before they head into their Senior year the timing is always crucial in these situations. For some, the timing always seems to be right, where others it’s just a matter of time before the match is made as to where the next step in their academic and volleyball careers will take them.
Kelsey Carrington – Milwaukee Sting – Racine St. Catherines – Middle Blocker/Right Side
Committed to Oklahoma
Boomer Sooner. Carrington will be hearing that quite a bit as she commits to Oklahoma after her high school career is done. The Sooners are on the rise in the Big 12 and Carrington will be part of a really talented recruiting class coming in. Carrington is really deadly off one foot which makes her a threat in the middle or on the right side. A really physical blocker, Carrington is a gamechanger at the net and after being healthy for this past club season will really pick up steam as she heads into her Senior year of high school.
Sam Miller – Capital Volleyball Academy – Waunakee High School – Setter
Committed to Augustana (SD)
Miller has been a hidden gem in the Madison area, being one of the setters for Waunakee High School who has been having record years the past two seasons. Augustana in Sioux Falls, South Dakota is part of the Northern Sun Conference competes against the likes of Minnesota-Duluth, Concordia-St. Paul, Winona State, and other top programs in Minnesota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Iowa, and North Dakota. Augustana is pursuing a move from Division 2 to Divison 1 which would likely make them a part of the Summit League along with South Dakota, South Dakota State, North Dakota, and North Dakota State. The transition is a four year process. However, before Miller makes the transition herself to Augustana she will still have some unfinished business at the high school level at Waunakee.
Ella Collins – Milwaukee Sting – Lakeside Lutheran – Outside Hitter
Committed to Eastern Illinois
Collins has been climbing up the radar this club season for Milwaukee Sting 17 Black, being a solid outlet with a big arm to score points. An honorable mention All-State player for Lakeside Lutheran, Collins will be one of the big leaders for Lakeside Lutheran who has a loaded sectional. Collins will also be part of the recruiting class that includes Ashley Sharkus, a defensive specialist from Oconomowoc High School and VC United (IL).
Jordan Armstrong – Capital Volleyball Academy – Verona – Setter
Committed to the University of Pennsylvania
Armstrong has always been such a steady force for Capital the past couple of years whether she is running the show with a 5-1 or sharing some time with Ella Foti, another standout setter committed to Marquette. A solid defender in the backrow and at the net, she can run a smooth offense with KJ McNabb and Milla Malik on the outside or going to her high school teammate, Madelyn Kelley in the middle. Armstrong will be heading to the University of Pennsylvania (Penn) in Philadelphia where the acceptance rate is 9% and the average ACT score is 32-35. Penn is part of the Ivy League.

Michigan Tech also has sandout Olivia Ghormley who prepped at Pulaski High School and played for Wisconsin Volleyball Academy .
Hailey Grocholski – Milwaukee Sting – Kettle Moraine – Middle Blocker
Committed to Presbyterian College
Grocholski makes her presence felt at the net with her big time block, which she led Kettle Moraine High School in last season. She will be relied on for her defense, but also be a bigger offensive threat for the Lasers who are coming off a regional title. Presbyterian College is an NCAA Division 1 school in Clinton, South Carolina that competes in the Big South Conference. One of her opponents will have some familiar faces in High Point which will have Sophee Mink and Sarah Malone from Capital Volleyball Academy .
