Julia Hansen of Northern Lights.Julia Hansen – Northern Lights 15-1 – Outside Hitter
Hansen is one of the most electrifying players to watch where she just flys to make contact with the ball. The six rotation outside hitter has been on the radar all club season. In order to make a run in Orlando, teams need a solid outlet to make something out of nothing and Hansen is that for Lights. They will be a top seed in their pool with Synergy Force 15 National, VCNebraska 15 Elite, and Idaho Crush.
Emma Goerger – MN Select 15-1 – Middle Blocker
A force in the middle, Goerger is listed at 6’6 and can move really well along the net. With a fast arm swing and the ability to find her setter she can make things happen in system. MN Select has had some hard fought battles all throughout the season and will be hoping to make some upsets along the way. This team will be dangerous in the next couple years with some developing height that will be a huge factor.
Maleah Howe – Milwaukee Sting 15 Gold – Outside Hitter
Much like Hansen, Howe is a six rotation outside for Milwaukee Sting who is gritty, athletic, and has a variety of shots to do some damage on the other side of the net. Howe is a top prospect out of the Class of 2022 for Wisconsin and is also a really solid beach player. Before she hits the beach she will be looking to sneak up on a few teams for Sting at the end of this week.
Josie BloomJosie Bloom – Legacy 15-Elite – Libero
In order for teams to make a push for some big matches towards the end of the tournament, a solid libero is a must which Bloom is exactly that for Legacy out of the Greater Detroit area. Bloom is able to read the hitter, is under control with how she moves, and is really efficient with her platform which allows for her team to stay in system. Legacy will be a top seed in their pool with teams from Vegas Aces, Munciana, and Wildfire.
Abby Schomers – Nebraska Elite 15 Koa – Setter
Koa is going to be a really dangerous team heading into the weekend. Led by Coach Tony Carrow, this team is full of energy and intensity that is tough to match. They have defeated the likes of Northern Lights this season and have multiple weapons and a gritty defense to carry along. However the one who runs the show is Abby Schomers. Long, athletic, high IQ, and an all around player who can really control the tempo of the game. This club knows how to win come June.
Ifill with the swing at Northern Lights Qualifier.Sienna Ifill – Northern Lights 15-1 – Right Side
Ifill is a matchup nightmare on the rightside. With her athleticism, high contact point, and ability to come out of the middle to hit, she is really able to spread the defense out when Hansen is opposite on the left side. Following Florida, Northern Lights will be heading to Indianapolis where they earned a bid to compete in 15 Open as well for USAV.
Ava Brizard – Michigan Elite 15 Mizuno – Outside Hitter
Brizard wants the ball in big time situations for Michigan Elite. The 6’0 outside hitter will be one of the top players in the Class of 2022 in Michigan and along with her superb skills is an intensity and will to win. The six rotation outside has a big arm where she is utilized on the pin and in the backrow. When it comes down to crunch time, watch for Brizard to take over.
