This list is comprised of athletes who weren’t on any All State teams last year.  Heading into their Junior season however, they will be some of the top players to watch in their conference, district, and the state.  Some have had breakout club seasons, others have changed positions, and some a different high school. Here are some athletes who will be looking to breakout and potentially make an All State team this upcoming season in Iowa. 

Macy Vanfossan and Zoe Rus- Class 2A - Underwood 

Underwood is going to be tough to contend with in Southwest Iowa behind Vanfossan and Rus, who had a breakout club season as well as productive summer.  Together they combined for just under 600 kills and will continue to be key players for the Eagles as they will look to get to Cedar Rapids. Southwest Iowa is always loaded with talent with the likes of Treynor and Tri-Center Neola.  With a deep postseason run these two will be at the top of the ballot late this fall. 

Alysen Dexter - Class 3A - Des Moines Christian 

Dexter will be back with plenty of experience having played another year with
