They wone the Division 1 State Championship in 2016 and lost in a tough 4 set match at sectionals last year to state runner ups, Oconomowoc.
Neenah competes in the Fox Valley Association Conference and went 8-1 in conference play last year taking second only to Kimberly who went undefeated in conference play. Appleton North, Hortonville, and Oshkosh West are also in the FVA conference.
This team graduated nine seniors in 2018 and will be looking to rebound from what is sure to be a tough loss. Despite losing so many talented athletes, several of whom helped lead the team to their 2016 state title, the team has several key returning players who are sure to help with leadership and continuity on this team.
Incoming junior and setter Kiersten Kraus will be a huge asset to this team coming into the 2019 season. Not only is she a talented setter, but she is also a great all-around player who has an impact every time she is on the court. Her leadership will be important this season with what will likely be a fairly young team. During the 2018 season, Kiersten had 275 kills, 163 digs, 48 assists, and 18 aces.
Senior outside hitter Ava Aldag will be another key player on this Neenah volleyball team. Her experience on the court and sheer athleticism will have a huge impact on this team throughout the season. She has a great personality on and off the court and will be instrumental in leading this team this year. Ava raked in 120 kills and 24 blocks throughout the 2018 season and is sure to come out swinging again this year.
Neenah will be competing in both the Joust and the Sprawl this season. They should also have great matchups against Appleton North and Kimberley in conference play.
