Randolph is a Division 4 school that dominates in the Trailways West Conference. They have won the conference the past two years and look to continue their winning streak in the upcoming season. In 2018 Randolph did not lose a single set in conference play and had a 29-9 record for the season.
On the road to the state tournament last year, Randolph lost to Catholic Central in sectionals in a tough five-set match. Catholic Central went on to win the State Championship in straight sets in both the semi-finals and the finals.
This team graduated eight seniors in the class of 2019 and will be looking to their strong sophomore and incoming freshman classes to keep this team in contention for a possible appearance at the state tournament. The Lady Rockets have won their last four regional championships and will be looking to fight their way into the state tournament this year.
Cassandra Alsum will be a key returning player. As a freshman last year she brought in 122 kills, 38 aces, 99 digs, and 72 service receptions. Her sheer athleticism as an outside hitter and defensive specialist will be crucial to the Lady Rocket’s success this year. She had a great club season with on the Capital 15 Navy team.
Incoming freshman libero Brandi Fuller will be a great asset to this program. She is fast and already a leader on the court at a young age. Fellow One Wisconsin athlete and incoming freshman Carizma Muth is a talented outside hitter and all-around athlete.
Despite losing so many seniors, the strong underclassmen will help keep this program competitive and hopefully help them to their 3rd straight conference championship. The Lady Rockets have hopes not only to do well in the Trailways West conference but push for an appearance in the state tournament.
Other competitive schools in their conference include Markesan, Fall River, and Green Lake/Princeton. Along the way, they will be playing in the UW Whitewater Tournament, the Mount Horeb Invite, and the Waupun Tournament.
