KEARNEY – It’s common place to say that you can’t put a whole lot of stock into how a team does in the summer, but teams in the D1-D2 division at the Kearney Top 10 Camp know for a fact that isn’t true.

The past four teams to win the D1-D2 division in the late July camp hosted at Kearney Catholic have gone on to win a state championship in November. In 2015 it was Exeter-Milligan followed by Hampton in 2016. Johnson-Brock won the team camp in 2017 and then went on to win its third straight D-1 championship that fall. Last year, BDS won the Kearney Top 10 Camp title and then won the D-2 state championship.
