Last year they finished second in their conference tournament, won the Menomonee Falls Invite, and qualified for State.
The team graduated five seniors in 2019 so the starting line up will have some new faces. Luckily, the six incoming seniors have a lot of experience on the court and will be itching for a chance to leave their mark on this program.
Sarah Mattes (Class of 2020, Prep Dig Rank #33) is a very talented middle. She was a captain on the team as a junior and will be key for the team this year. Sarah has been on varsity since her freshman year and in 2018 had a hitting percentage of 0.409. She contributed 265 kills and 67 blocks during her junior season and will be a go to hitter in 2019.
Madey Mochalski (Class of 2020) ran a 6-2 last year on varsity and made an impact every time she was on the court. She has had 665 assists on her two years on varsity and has a powerhouse serve on top of her talent as a setter.
Chloe Wolf (Class of 2020) is a versatile pin hitter who is a great utility athlete. She has been on varsity for four years. Chloe had an outgoing senior ahead of her and should really get to show her talents this year.
Angela Rinelli (Class of 2020) also had an outgoing senior ahead of her in the lineup, but has had an impact on the team nonetheless. She will be a huge asset on the right side as a powerful lefty with a very fast swing. This will be her third year on varsity.
A younger name you need to know in the upcoming seasons is Emily Ploszay. She is a class of 2022 middle hitter who had a 0.229 hitting percentage in her freshman year and clocked in 74 kills and 7 solo blocks. She will be entering her sophomore year and will be sure to make an impact on the court.
This team will be looking to have a winning season this year and make a mother run in the state tournament this year. Despite the huge turnover of seniors, the talent and experience on this team is very high. The incoming seniors will have their chance to leave a great legacy on this team and program.
