Kaci Behrens of Ankeny/IPVA commits to William Jewell
Behrens, who is one of the top liberos in the Class of 2020 has recently given her verbal commit to William Jewell University, an NCAA Division 2 school in Liberty, MO which is just outside of Kansas City. William Jewell competes in the Great Lakes Valley Conference against schools in Missouri, Illinois, and Indiana which features some of the top Division 2 programs in the country in Lewis (IL), Illinois-Springfield, Drury (MO), and Rockhurst (MO).
Behrens had over 500 digs for Ankeny last season enroute to the state tournament. The Hawkettes will be looking to find their way back to Cedar Rapids with Behrens holding down the backrow as well as the top Iowa prospect in the Class of 2021, Phyona Schrader who will be heading to Notre Dame and fellow Senior, Isabelle Vacek who is a commit to Wayne State. Malea Daugherty plays with Behrens for IPVA and Ankeny as well and will return as one of the top outsides with over 200 kills in 2018.
