Emily Day, 2021, 6’0, MH, Metea Valley
Emily has a great approach and good court sense. Strong arm swing and blocks well at the net, Emily looks to help this team full of youth to get to the bracket finals.
Mia Lombardo, 2020, 6’0, OH/RS, Hinsdale South, 1st Alliance VBC, Central Connecticut State
A Prepdig.com Player to Watch, Mia will take her skill out east in 2020, playing for Central Connecticut State. Thhis season will be a year to grow and lead the Hinsdale South Hornets in this tournament and hopefully further into states.
Lluyva Barajas, 2021, 5’8, L, Oswego East, Sports Performance VBC
As a Defensive specialist and Libero, Lluyva has a great ability to get to the ball in quick fashion. The longer she can keep it play for Oswego East, they will have a chance to finish the point.
Quarterfinal Predictions
Metea Valley vs. Hinsdale South – Hinsdale South in three. Metea Valley has lost a few tough sets by two points, so they need to find a way to finish.
Downers Grove North vs. Wheaton North – Give the edge to Wheaton, who battled hard in two matches in Wednesday’s first round.
Harvest C vs. Great Crossing – Look for Great Crossing to get a win on this roadtrip from their Kentucky home.
Oswego East vs. Nequa Valley – OE in two sets.
Semifinals:
Hinsdale South vs. Wheaton North – WN is deeper in thier roster, they should win in two.
Great Crossing vs. Oswego East – Oswego East powers through two sets for the win
Finals:
Wheaton North vs. Oswego East – In a three set victory, WN wins the bronze pool on WWS home court.
