Leading the team with 136 kills, Lebel will be the one to key on for defenses on Friday. Coming off a tournament title at the Rich East Tournament, McAuley might be ready to upset some teams.
Ranked as the #2 player in the state of Iowa by PrepDig.com, Carter will show up ready to play! Pool 3 on Court 1 will prove itself to be a bracket of back-breakers.
1 Carlie Rzeszotarski, 2022, 6’0, OH, Burnt Hills Ballston Lake (BHBS) (NY)
Surprise! Leading the team in kills is a sophomore! Rzeszotarski counts for over 33% of the teams offensive kills at 276 in 63 sets played. BHBS will be in Pool 6 on Court 2.
18 Maggie Bodman, 2020, 6’1, MB, New Trier, Sky High VBC, Navy
At the New Trier Tournament, Bodman took over the match and led New Trier to a championship title. She will be counted on to lead the Trevians to a first place finish in Pool 6, Court 2.
Anna Long, 2021, 5’11, OH, Notre Dame Academy (KY)
Leading the team with 192 kills for 2019, Long averages 4.4 kills per set. Despite losing a tough match to Marist, Thursday night, be prepared for the Pandas to win their bracket, Pool 7, Court 3.
20 Carter Mogridge, 2022, 6’4, OH/MB, St. Thomas (FL)
One of the tallest players in the tournament, Modridge can play either Outside Hitter or Middle Blocker and leads St. Thomas with 242 kills in 59 sets played, an average of 4.1 kills per set. They are in a killer bracket with Notre Dame (KY) and DGN , Pool 7, Court 3.
Just one kill away from 200, Wolkow has been a bit of a surprise this season. It’s also amazing that a sophomore leads a team in kills when they were state 4A runner-ups the year before. They are also a third seed in this bracket. Still a power, they will contend in Pool 7, on Court 3
