Iowa Top 250 Registration Starts With Top 2021 Athletes
The Prep Dig Top 250 Expo season may be a couple months away, but that hasn’t kept some of the top athletes from getting registered early for what will be a chance for some top talent to go head to head.
From Iowa…
Alysen Dexter – Des Moines Christian – Outside Hitter – Class of 2021
Dexter has had plenty of experience playing for the Iowa High Performance program and is part of a Des Moines Christian team that is currently 21-6 and is a ranked team in Class 2A. Dexter is long, athletic, and has a strong snap on her swing where she can go cross, line, or roll it over the block. A highly effective point scorer in key situations, Dexter is definitely on the radar of college coaches for the Class of 2021.
Taylor Grinley – Gilbert – Setter – Class of 2021
Grinley brings a really athletic style to the net where she can set and has been on the right side as well for her high school team. With soft hands and a quick release, she can really set a high tempo ball to the pin as well as run her middles on various routes. A top setter at CIA, Grinley isn’t afraid to be offensive and find the open spot on the other side of the net.
Danielle Johnson – Osage – Outside Hitter – Class of 2021
Johnson may be one of the top all-around athletes in the Class of 2021 for the entire state of Iowa. Johnson is an All State outside hitter, 1st Team All Conference Basketball, and one of the top golfers in North Iowa as well. Johnson is a high flying six rotation outside who can create a variety of ways to score points. Whether its on her successful high school team at Osage where she was named All Tournament team last year or for Six Pack, Johnson just finds a way to get it done.
Martha Pace – West Liberty – Outside Hitter – Class of 2021
Pace is one of the top outside hitters for West Liberty who is ranked in the top five of Class 3A. A six rotation all-around point scorer, Pace has a lot of versatility where she can put the ball away from any position in the front row. She is a physical attacker and blocker and has found success for the Comets along with competing for Iowa Rockets come club season.
Mia Gamet – Sergeant Bluff-Luton – Libero – Class of 2021
Gamet is having quite a year as the libero for Sergeant Bluff-Luton who is currently atop of the Class 4A Rankings. With over 250 digs and having just picked up a MRAC title, the Warriors are continuing to show their strength in Western Iowa as well as being a major threat to win a Class 4A state title after competing in Cedar Rapids the past couple of years. Gamet is well trained from SBL and club at MVP out of the Sioux City area and will look to help bring home some hardware come November.
