Kelsey Brangers (Central Hardin, Jr., L, College: Western Kentucky): A productive player, Brangers helped to lead tradition-rich Central Hardin to a 5th Region runner-up finish. In Central Hardin’s 116 sets prior to the 5th Region title match, Brangers posted 21 kills, 119 assists, 529 digs and 53 service aces. Brangers is committed to Conference USA member Western Kentucky.
Sequoia Hunt (Oldham County, Jr., MB, College: Northern Kentucky): One of the state’s most underrated high school volleyball players, Hunt has committed to Horizon League member Northern Kentucky. Hunt’s high school team, Oldham County, finished the 2019 season 9-16 following a loss to nemesis South Oldham in the semifinals of the 29th District Volleyball Tournament. Since the season-ending setback, Hunt has turned her focus to the upcoming club season.
Lane Jenkins (Lafayette, Jr., S, College: Loyola University-Chicago): Another underrated high school volleyball player, Jenkins has committed to Loyola University-Chicago, a member of the Missouri Valley Conference. Jenkins’ prep team, Lafayette, fell to rival Tates Creek in the semifinals of the 43rd District Volleyball Tournament. Following the season-ending setback, Jenkins started looking ahead to her upcoming club season.
Elena Scott (Mercy, Jr., S, College: Louisville): A longtime leader for 6th Region champion Mercy, Scott has posted 175 kills, 67 blocks, a team-high 839, 341 digs and 69 aces in 37 matches. She delivered six aces in Mercy’s victory over Bullitt East in the 6th Region title match. Scott has committed to ACC member Louisville and regardless of class is one of the state’s top high school volleyball players.
Jenny Wessling (Assumption, Jr., S, College: High Point): A key player for state frontrunner Assumption, Wessling has appeared in a team-high 103 sets. Wessling has registered 356 digs and 34 service aces. Looking to help Assumption capture another state title, Wessling has committed to High Point, a member of the Big South Conference.
