A trio made up of prep players from three different states signed with the Virginia Tech volleyball program on National Signing Day.
Postema was a five-year varsity letterwinner for the North Oldham volleyball program. She played with the Union Volleyball Club and will compete with the PNK Volleyball Club in the spring. A three-time captain, Postema was named 29th District MVP on three separate occasions. She was named to the All-Region 8 Tournament Team along with being selected as MVP and Player of the Year. A First Team All-State honoree, Postema led North Oldham to five straight Region 8 championships. The standout setter helped North Oldham to the KHSAA state quarterfinals in 2016 and to the semifinals in 2017 and 2019. Postema owns the North Oldham record for most assists in a career, boasting over 4,000.
Along with Postema, Emily Campe (6-3, RS, Palatine High School (Illinois), Thunder Volleyball Club) and Kirah Johnson (6-0, MB, Westfield High School, Centreville, Va.) signed with the Hokies.
Virginia Tech competes with Pitt, Notre Dame, Georgia Tech, North Carolina, Florida State, Louisville, Boston College, Syracuse, Miami, NC State, Duke, Clemson, Virginia and Wake Forest in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC).
