Talent middle blockers take the court for prep volleyball teams throughout Kentucky. Here’s a look at six middle blockers poised to compete and excel in the 2019 KHSAA Volleyball State Tournament.
Olivia Crowl (Jr., Campbell County): Prior to competing in the KHSAA Volleyball State Tournament, Crowl has already recorded 329 kills and 130 blocks as part of her junior season. Crowl delivered 10 kills and eight blocks in Campbell County’s victory over Scott in the 10th Region title match.
Emily Goodin (Jr., North Oldham): Goodin emerged as a key performer for North Oldham during the regular-season. She has recorded 133 kills and 55 blocks in 34 games. Goodin provided eight kills and two blocks in North Oldham’s victory over Woodford County in the 8th Region title match.
Allison Holloway (Jr., Mercy): Holloway helps to make Mercy a state title contender. In 36 matches, Holloway has registered 171 kills and a team-high 96 blocks for the Jaguars. She supplied four kills and three blocks in only two sets for Mercy during the 6th Region title match versus Bullitt East.
Annee Lasley (Sr., Greenwood): Quite possibly the most underrated middle blocker in the KHSAA Volleyball State Tournament, Lasley has helped to lead Greenwood throughout the 2019 season. In 39 matches, Lasley has amassed 360 kills, 76 blocks, 80 digs and 69 service aces.
Rylee Rader (Sr., Assumption): In only 23 matches, Rader has landed 229 kills and recorded 25 blocks for powerhouse Assumption. Rader is an Ohio State commit and one of the nation’s top high school players. The accomplished Rader was named the 2018 Ms. Kentucky Volleyball.
Taylor Trammell (Sr., Henry Clay): A proven leader for Henry Clay, Trammell will be instrumental in her team’s success in the KHSAA Volleyball State Tournament. Trammell is a longtime leader for the Henry Clay volleyball team and a force as a middle blocker.
