Paige Lamm – Middle Hitter, California
Paige Lamm needs to be Paige Lamme for California to be successful. She’s been that good. The senior averages 4.3 kills per set for the Pintos, but it’s not necessarily that – it’s the intangibles. The middle blocker has great court recognition. She hit .475 in the district final against Blair Oaks.
Abbi King – Setter, Odessa
King is the career record holder in assists for Odessa, with over 1,100 and has done a masterful job distributing the ball to her many options offensively, leading the Bulldogs to an undefeated season. Three hitters for Odessa have over 125 kills. The senior has 595 assists this season, averaging 7.7 assists per set this season. If the Bulldogs defeat St. Michael, they will take on Pleasant Hill or Maryville.
Ally Moore – Defensive Specialist, Windsor (Imperial)
The old adage that defense wins games will hopefully ring true for Windsor during sectionals. If Moore has anything to say about it – one of Class 3 leader’s in digs with 440 – Moore has been a spark plug for the Owls. The senior also has 424 serve receptions and 42 aces in 2019.
Schipper – courtesy St. Louis Post DispatchRachel Schipper – Setter, St. Dominic
We are giving setters a little love in Class 3 and Schipper definitely fits the bill. The sophomore is making a name for herself with an average of 9.25 assists per set for St. Dominic. She had a fantastic district final against St. Charles with 22 assists, 7 digs and two aces to help the Crusaders reach sectionals.
Anna Wilkison – Outside Hitter, Incarnate Word
Anna Wilkison has been lights out for Incarnate Word in 2019. The senior is one of the best in the St. Louis metro in kills with 349 (averaging 4.31 per set). Oh, and she is hitting .387 this season. An all-conference selection in 2018, Wilkison is hoping the Red Knights can avenge a loss to St. Dominic to advance to face Visitation or Borgia.
