2021
Morgan Chmielewski – 5’9 | DS/L | Club:
High Voltage
As the libero for powerhouse Mayer Lutheran, she has great experience. Her length allows her to use her platform skills effectively from any location on the floor. She has great balance, vision, and pursuit of the ball. She provides a calm and patient presence in this role.
Karsee Kampsen – 5’6 | S | Club:
Kandi Elite
Clearly evident was her leadership and experience as she seamlessly stepped into this context and utilized her skills well as her play automatically elevated whatever court she was on. Perhaps considered undersized as a setting prospect, Kampsen plays much bigger with her athleticism and overall impact. She will lead a solid
Kandi Elite
17-1 team with a corps of dynamic attackers.
Olivia Koeppen – 5’7 | S | Club: M1
Koeppen set Minnetonka through a terrific high school season and has established herself as one of the better floor generals in the 2021 class. Another athlete that displayed a confidence in her skill set and that also elevated the play of those around her. She has good footwork, touch, and location through both pins.
Bailey Olson – 5’10 | OH | Club:
Kandi Elite
It was easy to identify Olson on any court she was playing on given her athletic and physical presence. She has all-around skills that were highlighted throughout the session. She has good elevation and is aggressive with her arm work when she swings. Look for her this club season competing for
Kandi Elite
17-1.
Sacia Vanderpool – 6’4 | MH | Club: SEE
Among the tallest athletes at the Expo, Vanderpool displayed good movement through both controlled and competitive activities. She has great length, which creates high contact points when attacking while filling up great space at the net defensively. With improved foot and arm speed she has great potential to climb the athlete rankings in this class as a compelling prospect for the next level.
Aleah Zieske – 5’10 | OH | Club:
Kandi Elite
Zieske may have been the most impressive athlete at the Expo. She is athletic and shows a maturity in her skills that is patient yet dynamic with her defense and ball control while explosive through her approach and transition work. Her movements are simple, which allow her to be very efficient in pursuit of the ball. She will be a featured six-rotation athlete for
Kandi Elite
17-2 this club season.
2022
Emma Lade – 5’8 | S | Club:
High Voltage
Displaying nice touch and location through her distribution, Lade also showed her maturity as a setter having competed well during the high school season in guiding the high powered Mayer Lutheran offense. She is athletic with all-around skills and good movement around the court. She also plays with a confidence that had her among the best setters overall at this year’s Expo.
Olivia Teske – 5’10 | OH | Club: M1
The most refreshing athlete was Teske as she showed a terrific attitude and level of effort throughout the session. She has quick lift off the floor with good elevation and a high contact point when attacking. By adding some torque through her arm work she will increase her range and power. Has a good foundation in her ball control work as well. Playing with M1 this club season, Teske has an opportunity to grow her stock in the 2022 class.
2023
Arianna Blohm – 5’11 | MH | Club: SMV
If not for the navy blue t-shirt indicating her as a member of the 2023 class, it would have been easy to classify Blohm as one of the veterans in the bunch given her simple yet efficient style of play. Listed as a middle, she has great platform skills and good footwork to swing from any location on the floor. This is not surprising given the versatility of her Stewartville teammates that also play middle and can swing from the pins. Adding some arm speed with make her even more dangerous.
Leslie Snow – 5’8 | OH | Club:
Kandi Elite
Snow is another athlete in this class that has a skill set and presence that is beyond most her age. She has great potential to become a very reliable six-rotation athlete. She showed good ball control skills and effectiveness in a slow-to-fast approach pattern. Her
Kandi Elite
experience this club season should serve her well as she will continue to take on more responsibility around the court moving forward through her prep career.
