This season the Last 4 in were Illinois, VCU, Washington State and Wright State and the last 4 out were Cal, Georgia Tech, Green Bay and South Dakota.
South Dakota (27-2) finished the year with an RPI of 38, but with losing in the conference semifinals and having no top-50 wins, its schedule wasn’t strong enough to warrant an at-large.
The National Invitational Volleyball Championship extends the season for 32 deserving teams. They play a single-elimination tournament with host sites for each round starting December 4 and a championship game scheduled on December 17.
The following is a list of teams in the tournament and Nebraska representation. Teams with former Nebraska Prep players will be updated as the tournament progresses.
