College Exposure:
At Prep Dig, our mission is to be a platform for visibility for all of those athletes – college bound prospects at all levels. The Top 250 Expos embody that mission and bring it to life, giving prospects at all levels an opportunity to showcase their skills in front of local college coaches as well as our team of evaluators.
The Expo is not held during an NCAA live period, so Division 1 coaches are not allowed to attend. We have more than 100 colleges that have subscribed and as writers we are in contact with coaches about players.
It isn’t too late
Before the NCAA adjust their recruiting rules you saw college verbal commitments coming from athletes as young as 14 (8th Grade). Now with the rules change, these girls get more time to consider what they want from their future athletically and educationally. However there is still a stigma that if you aren’t committed senior year of high school it is too late. It is simply not true. You may miss out on the very limited amount of volleyball scholarships but there are openings at every level. I have personally coached girls that signed their Division 1 National Letter of Intent during our 18’s club season. If you have a passion to play there is always a spot be it Division 1, 2, 3, NAIA, Junior College, or club.
The Expo will prove to be a great opportunity for 3 seniors to get additional exposure before their respectively club teams start their tournament schedule.
Maycee Karpfinger – 5’11” – Wauwatosa West – Middle/Outside – Milwaukee Sting 18 White
Maycee wrapped up her high school career in the ridiculously strong Greater Metro Conference receiving 2nd Team honors. She led the Trojan attack with 208 kills and 48 total blocks. Even though middle is listed as a primary position, she finished the season 2nd with 188 digs while serving 94% with 54 aces. Maycee brings the height and length you love to have in the middle with the ability to swing at both pins.
Maycee will be playing in a couple big events to give college coaches more opportunities to see her before graduation. They are listed below and will lead up to finishing her high school career in Reno at the 2020 USAV Girls Junior National Championships.
January 18th – 20th | Girls Winter Volleyball Championships | Chicago, Illinois |
January 31st – February 2nd | Northern Lights Qualifier | Minneapolis, Minnesota |
February 15th – 17th | Nike President’s Day Classic | St. Louis, Missouri |
March 20th – 22nd | Mid-East Qualifier | Indianapolis, Indiana |
April 18th – 19th | Mizuno Motor Madness | Detroit, Michigan |
Kirsten Anderson – 5’9″ – Sun Prairie High School Middle/Opposite – Capital Volleyball Academy
Kirsten was selected to the 2019 All-Big Eight Conference 2nd team. She led the Cardinals with 150 total blocks. KJ McNabb and Payton Addink edged her out in the kill column, but Kirsten finished 3rd on the team hitting .340 with 207 kills. Capital had two very competitive 17’s teams a year ago and the addition of Kirsten will definitely help solidify the middle position in that program.
Kristen will also be playing in a couple big events to increase her exposure before she graduates. They are listed below and will lead up to finishing her high school career in Reno at the 2020 USAV Girls Junior National Championships.

January 31st – February 2nd | Northern Lights Qualifier | Minneapolis, Minnesota |

Lauren Glissendorf – 5’5″- Janesville Craig – DS/L – Crossfire ‘ last=’VBC’] 18’s
Lauren joined Kirsten and was selected to the 2019 All-Big Eight Conference 2nd team. Unfortunately stats were not entered on Maxpreps so I can’t provide any further information like I did above. I did get to see the Cougars play early in the year and Lauren stood out immediately. The Big Eight Conference is loaded with offensive weapons with Verona and Sun Prairie which made her role in the backrow that much more important.
Lauren’s schedule is mostly Wisconsin events but college coaches can find her in St. Louis February 15th – 17th for the Nike President’s Day Classic.
