Kaitlyn Prondzinski Elsi Koski
18’s Premier:
To see the biggest, brightest players going to some of the biggest colleges, head down to the National Volleyball Center. The Luau has added the new site this year to help manage divisions and accommodate all the college recruiters attending. The 18’s competition will be held here. The gym will be filled with 6’0 plus players like: Makenna Holman (6’1”-Kokoro 18-1), Kaitlyn Prondzinski (6′– SMV), Claire Ricard (6’1”- Kandi Elite ), Elsie Koski (6’3” – Vital Volleyball ) and more
There will be two teams from Wisconsin: NPride 18-1 and WI Juniors 18Elite. Other underdogs includes the Summit 18’s and SMV 18-1’s. Teams will need to finish first or second in most cases, for a chance to take first!
18’s Club:
They will also be down in Rochester at NVC. Some of our top teams in this division include:
- Brainerd Warriors 18-1 (pool A)
- Midwest Premiere 18’s (pool B)
- Kokoro Volleyball 18-2 (pool E)
- ClubRed 18 Red (pool D)
- RRIV 18 Smack (pool F)
- Vital Volleyball 18-2 Royal (pool H)
Others hoping to shake things up as underdogs are: Legacy Elite (BG), Southern Elite Energy 18 (NO), and Minneapolis VIBE 18-Black (NO)
Vibe 18-1 KEVC 17-1
17’s Premier:
This group will be an interesting one, as many large tournaments don’t always include a 17’s Division. Again, teams will start at NVC. The top athletes to catch in action include: Gracie Kate Lamonds (Crossfire), Ashlyn Olson (KEVC 17), Aniki Bolles and Klaudia Wachholz (MN Select 17-2), and Katie McCabe (MKE Sting 17 Silver.)
There are three other division within this age group:
- 17 Club at NVC
- 17 Classic at Columbia Heights and Osseo HS
- 17/18 Classic at MN Select
16 Premier:
A lot of the same teams here with their 16’s teams: Kokoro, Vital Volleyball , MKE Sting, etc. Joining them is the Club Red 16 Red. They will be at St. Catherine’s. Predictions for the weekend:
- Vital Volleyball 16’s – All-star team including the Bloomington-Jefferson sisters Cassie Sieling and Ellie Sieling. This dynamic duo are clutch players in big matches. Joining them in the middle from Mayer Lutheran Lilly Wachholz and Marlee Waters from Wayzata (seen blocking below!)
