For the UNO program, they had two of thier teams medal in the 16 division. In the gold 16 age group championships, the UNO 16 Girls Elite defeated the UNO National 16 Girls, 25 -9, 25 -23.
Both teams put up a battle to see which one takes the Gold. Let’s look at some of the players from those teams:
Riley Hungate Riley Hungate 5'9" | RS IL , 2022, Joliet Catholic, UNO 16 Elite,
A fun player to watch as she is intense and plays with a high level of skill. She swings hard and scores a lot of points. Hungate also plays for Joilet Catholic Academy, where she was second on the team in kills with 182.
Mc Kenna Fitzpatrick, 2022, 6’1, MB, Coal City, UNO 16 Elite
Another player to watch as the scouts already know shes out there. Mc Kenna was named an AVCA Phenom and played a major role at the net for Coal City HS as well as a leader for the UNO 16 Elite
Emma Harper Emma Harper 5'9" | RS IL , 2022, 5’10, MB, Minooka, UNO 16 Elite
Seeing limited time on varsity, she makes it up here as she is succeeding on the club level. Emma ‘s blocking ability with a growth on the offensive side of teh ball will help keep both UNO and Minooka High School a contender.
Leah Talley, 2022, 5’10, MB, Wilmington, UNO 16 National
Seeing limited time on varsity, she makes it up here as she is succeeding on the club level. Emma ‘s blocking ability with a growth on the offensive side of teh ball will help keep both UNO and Minooka High School a contender.
Grace Carlson, 2022, 5’11, MB, Minooka, UNO 16 National
Seeing lots of playing time, Grace is another one of those Minooka future stars. Another reason Uno dominates this age group.
Katherine Halcomb, 2022, OH, Morris, UNO 16 National
Katherine plays with Athleticism and at a high level. Another reason why this program is strong from top to bottom.
