The Louisville area junior high students taking the court in the 2020 club season might be middle schoolers but they’re showing much potential.
Looking ahead a few years, several high school volleyball programs will welcome in accomplished KIVA alums whom are currently competing as 12-year-olds.
KIVA features 12 Red, 12 White and 12 Black among its teams in the 2020 club season.
Each of the KIVA 12 teams have enjoyed success thus far in the current club campaign.
Here are 10 Louisville 12s to watch.
Gracie Eybel: A sixth grader, Eybel is a middle hitter from St. Aloysius (PWV). A proven hitter, Eybel is competing for KIVA 13 White.
Annie Gies: An outside hitter, Gies is a sixth grader from Our Lady of the Lourdes. Gies is competing for KIVA 12 Black.
Jenna Hawkins: A sixth grader, Hawkins is an outside hitter from St. Mary. Hawkins is competing for KIVA 12 White.
Emily Helmers: An outside hitter, Helmers is a sixth grader from St. Raphael. Helmers is competing for KIVA 12 Red.
Jordan Jones: Productive at the net, Jones is a sixth grade middle hitter from Collegiate. Jones is competing for KIVA 12 Red.
Abigail Mobley: A sixth grader, Mobley is a defensive specialist from Sacred Heart. Mobley is competing for KIVA 12 White.
Kathryn O’Toole: An outside hitter, O’Toole is a sixth grader from St. Gabriel. O’Toole is competing for KIVA 12 Red.
Ashley McSorley: A versatile volleyball player, McSorley is a seventh grade defensive specialist/outside hitter from Barrett. Capable of contributing from multiple positions, McSorley is competing for KIVA 12 Black.
Addison Perez: A sixth grader, Perez is an outside hitter from North Oldham. The productive Perez is competing for KIVA 12 Black.
Rhyan Prather: A seventh grader, Prather is an opposite hitter/defensive specialist from Noe. Prather is competing for KIVA 12 Red.
