Gold-Gold Bracket
The finals had Illinois Elite 16 Black downing the SPRI 16 C-Fed team 25-18, 25-18. IN the third-place match SPVB 16 Red defeated K2 15 Adidas Fly Girls 25-17, 25-18.
Chloe Clayton, 2022, MH, UHigh (Normal), Illini Elite 16 – Black
Chloe is a varsity Middle Hitter for University High’s varsity program. As a sophomore, she accumulated 81 kills in 60 sets played. For the Illini Elite Black team, she was instrumental in their win over Sports Performance in the final.
Avah Classen, 2022, S, Hartsburg – Emden, Illini Elite 16 – Black
As Hartsburg-Emden’s STarting setter, Avah tallied 477 assists and yes – SHe’s a sophomore. With a highly advanced skill set, Avah played an integral part in the Illini Elite ‘s 16 Black offense.
Kennedi Burnett, 2022, OH, St. Joseph – Ogden, Illini Elite 16 – Black
At the IHSA 2020 state tournament, Kennedi left a lasting impression as she led the team to third-place finish over Rockford Lutheran. The outside hitter brings her unmistakable power and control to a highly talented club program.
Caylee Sharkey, 2022, 6’3, OH, Sycamore, Sports Performance 16 C-Fed
Standing tall at 6-3, Caylee has an advantage over most of her opponents. She hits the ball well and puts up a formidable block. The more playing she does at a high level, the better she is going to get! Look fr her to leave her mark in the near future!
Jennifer Shook, 2022, 5’10, OH, Plainfield Central, Sports Performance 16 C-Fed
Jennifer brings something that some setters lack: height! At 5’10, she not only has the ability to block but has hands and control that you look for in a setter. Plainfield Center High School will have their future setter in place for the next two seasons.
Kendra Dziubinski, 2022, 6’0, MH, St. Charles East, Sports Performance 16 – Red
Although seeing limited time on varsity, Kendra is seeing some quality minutes for the Sports Performance 16- Red team. She is vastly improving and will be fun to watch as she hits the court for St. Charles East next fall.
