National Championships are what programs strive for, but a Triple Crown title can mean just as much.

No event each club season has a deeper and more talented field than Triple Crown NIT and the 2020 edition takes place this weekend in Kansas City. A number of Michigan programs will be in attendance, and a few have a chance to really make a splash and contend for a championship.

18 & Under

Kendall Murray and Alexa Rousseau

Legacy knows what winning this tournament is about, as the 18-Elite captured the 2019 crown on its way to a memorable season. This year, Legacy 18-1 ADIDAS is right in the think of it as well. Legacy, which opened the season just outside the top-10 in national rankings, finds itself in Power Pool A this weekend. It’s an absolute gauntlet of the best teams in the nation, including TAV 18 Black, Houston Skyline 18 Royal, Coast 18-1 and Mintonette m.81. Legacy will have to rely on their veteran studs like setter Alexa Rousseau (Northwestern), outside Kendall Murray (Michigan) and middle Ellie Ruprich (South Carolina). Libero Kennedy Dolmage
