Club Profile – Synergy Volleyball Club
Synergy Volleyball Club is an up and coming club based out of the Champlin area. We are excited to host synergy at the Prep Dig Minneapolis Meltdown in Bloomington on March 28-29.
The club started as CP Synergy and has since taken the CP out of the name because they have grown far beyond Champlin Park High School. However, they practice at several sites, and the high school is one of those locations along with Adrenaline Sports Complex, Maple Grove Community Center and Jackson Middle School.
The club was originally set up to help develop the future players of Champlin Park High School. The club is three years old and this year is the first where they have at least one team at every age from 12 up.
Synergy’s goal for 2020 is to continue to help develop players who are ready to compete at the next level, be that with our younger players making their school team, our high school players trying to make their varsity teams or with our 18s team which has several players who are already committed at DI through community college and we want to help them in their transition.
Mission Statement
Synergy’s mission is, “To foster a life-long love of volleyball, to help players grow as both on the court and as people.”

Why did you choose a Prep Dig Tournament?
- “I have been lucky enough to have been asked to work a Prep Dig college showcase last year, I have been following what Prep Dig does as far as coverage of the sport and it seemed like a no brainer that we should support an organization that loves volleyball as much as I do.”
A fun fact about Synergy is that club owner, John Yunker, lead the Champlin Park Rebels to a 2019 Minnesota State Championship, he has also had the good fortune of coaching University of Wisconsin setters Sydney Hilley and Izzy Ashburn while they attended CPHS. Additionally, their 16-1s, 17-1s and 18-1s all played in the Asics President’s Day Tournament in Omaha and all three finished in the top three of their respective divisions.
