When you look at the current juniors and seniors, many of the high-level players have made the decision where they will continue their careers. But there are a few who are still working through the recruiting process, and you will want to pick them up as quickly as you can! Here is a look at the top 2020 uncommitted athletes in Wisconsin.
Be sure to see these players at their tournaments before someone else gets them!
Alayna RitterAlayna Ritter – 5’5 – Setter – Lake Country Lutheran – Midwest Penguins 18 Black
Ritter finished her career at LCL with 1642 assists and 474 digs. She is quick, defensively sound, and has a solid volleyball IQ. Ritter can run a fast offense effectively. She would be a strong defensive specialist in college or a decent setter in a 6-2 offense. You can see Ritter play February 28th-March 1st at the Badger Region Qualifier in Milwaukee.
Emily Larson – 5’5 – Libero – Arrowhead – Milwaukee Sting 18 Black
Larson is coming off a Division 1 State Title Arrowhead and clocked 384 digs and 104 assists in her senior season. She is a true libero; she is solid in serve-receive, can defend in any kind of situation and she does a great job taking the second ball as an out-of-system setter as well. You can see Larson playing March 14-15th at the Badger Region Championships in Milwaukee.
Emma Oelhafen – 6’0 – Middle Blocker/Pin Hitter – Xavier – FC Elite 18 Navy
Oelhafen is a 6’0 attacker who recorded 933 kills and 617 digs during her career with the Xavier Hawks. She is a strong physical presence at the net on both offense and defense. Oelhafen is a workhorse and improves each time I see her. You can see Oelhafen play February 29th-March 1st at the Badger Region Qualifier in Milwaukee.
Kirsten Anderson – 5’9 – Middle Blocker – Sun Prairie – Capital 18 Adidas
Anderson is a smaller middle, but she touches just shy of 10 feet. She produced a .336 hitting efficiency during her career with Sun Prairie. Anderson attacks with a high volleyball IQ. She terminates using a number of different routes. You can see Anderson play February 29-March 1st at the Badger Region Qualifier in Milwaukee.
Lauren ShieldsLauren Shields – 5’6 – Libero/Outside Hitter – Newman – Wisconsin Ice 18 National
Shields helped take Newman on 4 trips to the Resch. She was a 6-rotation outside hitter for Newman and is currently playing as a libero for Ice 18 National. Shields recorded 1,349 digs and 674 kills for the Cardinals during her career, earning her 1st Team Marawood All-Conference and All-State honors. She is highly versatile, and while she is strong in serve-receive and defense, she can as well swing from both pins. Shields will be competing with her team on February 28th-March 1st at the Mizuno Showcase in Wisconsin Dells.
Madelyn Kelley – 6’1 – Outside Hitter/Middle Blocker – Verona – Capital 18 Adidas
The 6’1” hitter was the most efficient swing (.639) for the Verona Wildcats, recording 218 kills and 60 blocks in her senior seasons. Kelley is competitive, strong, and earned AVCA Under Armour All-American honors. Kelley can be found competing February 29-March 1st at the Badger Region Qualifier in Milwaukee.
Riley Kindt – 5’10 – Middle Blocker – Brookfield East – Motion 18 Blue
Kindt is a deceptive hitter; at 5’10 she touches over 10’and is a solid blocker as well as a dynamic attacker. She was a standout for Brookfield East, registering 669 kills and 206 blocks during her career. Kindt is a dynamic attacker, running fast routes while keeping great vision of the court. You can see Kindt play February 28th-March 1st at the Mizuno Showcase I in Wisconsin Dells.
