The 17/18 power division gold/gold bracket looked like a sports performance show. They peppered the bracket with three of the four teams in the tournaments final four. However, they couldn't stop a national power like Alabama Performance Red, who plowed through the title match, over Sports Performance 18 Elite (SPRI) 25-18, 25-18.

Merrit Beason, 2021, OH, Alabama Performance 18 Red, Florida
With their team finishing a strong 14-1, Merrit was a shining light on the team which finished with the President's Weekend total. A heavy hitter, Merrit has a quick swing and follow-through, with the ability to thread hits down the line or consistently tool the block.

Gaby Croll, 2020, 6'1, OH/RS, Waubonsee Valley, Sports Performance Elite 18, Elon
Although they didn't win the tournament, Sports Performance Elite 18s took on the best and played well through the match. Gaby's play was no exception. Watching her many times throughout high school and club season, her talent keeps on getting better and better. She is a quintessential "go-to" player in a meaningful point getting situations.
