Kandi Elite
16-1
Antigua is a good athlete and creates success through a simple approach to her play. She doesn’t appear to get too high or low emotionally although she has many ways she can contribute both front and back row for her team. She doesn’t waste a lot of movement and seemingly relies a lot on her eye work to just react to what the play is telling her to do. She elevates well and can make the right shot with power or finesse. In the back row she can contribute with simple defense that includes good reaction and angles to dig the ball while also being able to throw a variety of looks at an opponent from the service line.
Emma Campbell – 5’11 | OH | M1 16-1
Campbell’s arm can score points. She has deceptive mechanics in her arm work in the air as she gets a big double arm lift followed by a fast swing that can get the ball onto the defense quickly. She has the ability to move the ball around and swing through a variety of zones. Her effectiveness will increase as she improves her footwork to consistently get to the ball so she can jump on balance and maximize her elevation and reach. She has six-rotation skills that include good blocking mechanics at the net and patient defense in the back row.
Sophia Charpentier – 6’0 | MH/OH | Northern Lights 16 Black
Charpentier has good competitive experience as a key member of a young and dynamic Rosemount varsity squad. She is athletic and versatile with point scoring skills from all positions across the net. Her footwork patterns are fluid and she has good lift off the floor and hang time in the air. She can swing through a variety of offensive tempos and is savvy to recognize the defense or an out of system opportunity to make a smart shot. She has a lot of upside to her game pushing a 6’0 frame and ability to provide varied offense.
Courtney Haugen – 5’7 | DS/L | Northern Lights 16 Black
Haugen can make plays defensively largely in part to her vision and patience in the back row. She prepares herself well with good balance and direct pursuit of the ball coming off the opponent’s arm. She shows good reaction time and range to pursue a ball in any direction whether to the floor or from shoulders and above. With experience as a primary defensive specialist and libero for Prior Lake, she has great competitive experience.
Olivia Teske – 5’11 | OH | M1 16-1
Teske has great potential to develop into a point scorer on the left side. She has a good foundation of skills and will continue to polish those as she gains more experience. She utilizes her 5’11 size and length well in all areas of her game. Her approach patterns to the ball have good slow-to-fast momentum and she gets up with a big open arm swing. As she develops consistency to get her feet to the ball she will increase her ability to hit with combined power and range. Her length also helps her at the net blocking as she can get up and over fast. In the back row she has good range defensively and has a nice jump serve that can put a lot of pressure on opposing serve receive.
