Ellie Murphy – 5’9 | OH | Club: KEVC 18-1
Murphy packs a punch. She has good athleticism that allows her to contribute in a variety of ways on both sides of the ball. As an attacker, she can swing through different zones including at both pins and in combination in between. One of her biggest assets is her arm speed as she can hit with great pace. Don’t let her 5’9 frame fool you regarding her ability to jump and swing. She has good elevation and can get on the ball well at the peak of her jump. She is a Granite Ridge all-conference selection recently wrapping up her prep career at Foley High School.

17-1 Gold
With a recorded 27″ vertical, this 5’7 outside pin attacker can get up. The Eden Prairie prospect has good arm control in the air to hit with variety and range, including over and around the block, with off speed finesse, or by challenging the defense at the net with an aggressive swing. As a blocker, her vertical allows her to get her elbows above the net and be a big presence in spite of her height. As a six-rotation athlete, the biggest need for improvement is in her ball control. As her footwork, speed, and balance are in good shape, it is in the details with her platform work that with some minor adjustments she can become even more effective around the court.

Campbell has good size as a pin attacker and shows ability to consistently get her feet to the ball to use her arm work tools well in the air. She has a high elbow through her swing. Combined with the balance in the air and good vision of what’s in front of her she has the ability to hit with good range to all locations on the floor. She can make steady contributions in other facets of the game with good passing and blocking mechanics while also showing good defense skills in the back row. Campbell, a member of the Academy of Holy Angels program, is worth keeping an eye on and a consistent evaluation over the next few months.

Henderson is among the more athletic setters in this class. She has good quickness and can distribute well on the move. She has good extension and location and can set a variety of tempos between the pins. She also is a good defensive setter with good preparation and patience that allows her to react well. Her continued development includes good contribution throughout St. Michael-Albertville’s deep playoff run to the section finals during the 2019 high school season. Henderson is definitely one to pay attention to over the next several weeks as she has a good skill foundation and a lot of upside.
