Here’s a look at five versatile Louisville sophomores.
Kayla Bryant: A 5-9 sophomore outside hitter/defensive specialist, Bryant is a student-athlete from Sacred Heart Academy. During the 2019 high school volleyball season, Bryant landed 179 kills and a team-high 53 service aces while recording 196 digs. Defensively, Bryant has shown the ability to pursue and dig consistently. Bryant is competing for Union Asics 16-1.
Julia McNeley: A 5-9 sophomore outside hitter/opposite hitter, McNeley is another student-athlete from Sacred Heart Academy. Able to finish strong at the net, McNeley hits well from both sides of the floor. Productive at any position, McNeley contributed for her prep squad throughout the 2019 high school volleyball season. McNeley is competing for Union Asics 16-1.
Chloe Osborne Chloe Osborne OH Male | 2022 State KY : A 5-9 sophomore outside hitter/defensive specialist, Osborne is a student-athlete from Male High School. Delivering both offensively and defensively, Osborne is an athletic player who digs and hits consistently. Set to take on a larger role for her high school team later in the year, Osborne is competing for KIVA 16 Red.
Emily Ready: A 6-1 sophomore opposite hitter/middle hitter, Ready is a student-athlete from national powerhouse Assumption High School. One of the state’s top high school sophomores for the back-to-back-to-back state champion, Ready thrives as a hitter and blocker, delivering quick attacks. Ready is competing for KIVA 17-1.
Mary Schneidtmiller: A 6-2 middle blocker/opposite hitter, Schneidtmiller is a student-athlete from reigning state runner-up Mercy Academy. Dominant at the net, Schneidtmiller thrives at her position for a perennial state title contender. A proven leader, Schneidtmiller is a hard hitter who uses her length. Schneidtmiller is competing for Union Asics 16-1.
