Photo contributed.Ellie Baumert Ellie Baumert 6'1" | S Malcolm | 2022 State #159 Nation NE – The 6’2 setter already committed to Texas Tech after attending a camp there in the spring of 2019. As class C1 Malcolm continues to produce D1 recruits (think Jaela Zimmerman Jaela Zimmerman 6'2" | OH Malcolm | 2018 State NE at Creighton and Haley Densberger at Nebraska), the Clippers look to continue their winning ways in 2020 with A LOT OF TALENT back while only graduating one senior. Baumert put up 762 assists in 2019 along with 39 blocks. HUDL HIGHLIGHTS
Maisie Boesiger Maisie Boesiger 5'5" | S Norris | 2022 State #198 Nation NE – At 5’6 this setter could find some challenges at the net, but she has a core group around her that exhibits the trust needed to have a successful team. After putting up 999 assists (come on stat taker, 1 more!!) to some all-state hitters in 2019, Boesiger was good at setting her hitters up away from the block with her timely placed sets forward, backward, and to the back row. Pictured above.
LIBEROS
Sofia Bressani Sofia Bressani 5'7" | DS/L Omaha Duchesne | 2021 State NE , 2021, Omaha Duchesne Vs Mak Hatcliff, 2021, Beatrice
Sofia Bressani Sofia Bressani 5'7" | DS/L Omaha Duchesne | 2021 State NE – The Cardinals will graduate many seniors this year, but with the serve receive (434) and dig (577) leader back, that’s a good starting point. The 5’9 libero has experience from two runner-up state championship in 2017 and 2019 and a semifinalist in 2018 to lead her team into 2020.
Mak Hatcliff – Google this player and everything comes up basketball, but this 5’7 libero can hold her own on the volleyball court too. With 511 digs and 639 serve receptions, Hatcliff has a strong back row around her that will be cumbersome to many opponents in the newly formed Trailblazer Conference in 2020.
