The first two rounds saw some great talent come off the board and Day 2 provides the eight teams with a chance to really make their squad standout from the others.
Let’s get to the picks.
Round 3
[player_tooltip player_id="50309" first="Sophia" last="Powell"]1. Warriors – Sophia Powell Sophia Powell 5'9" | S Lowell | 2021 State MI , S Lowell/FaR Out (2021): The Warriors won’t pick again for a while, so they secure a veteran setter with a great skillset.
2. Falcons – Evelyn Doezema Evelyn Doezema 6'2" | OH Grand Rapids Christian | 2022 State #34 Nation MI , MH/OH Grand Rapids Christian/FaR Out (2022): Doezema could be the steal of the draft. A dominant player at the net that is developing into an all-around talent.
3. Tigers – Grace Allread Grace Allread 5'9" | S West Bloomfield | 2021 State MI , S West Bloomfield/Legacy (2021): The Tigers also lock up their setter, going with a proven talent in Allread.
4. Eagles – Ashley Nordmann Ashley Nordmann 6'0" | OH Lansing Christian | 2021 State MI , OH Lansing Christian/Michigan Elite (2021): The Eagles want a dominant front row and they seem to have it with Nordmann joining VanderWeide and Olin.
5. Bulldogs – Kimani Johnson Kimani Johnson 6'3" | RS Cass Tech | 2022 State #137 Nation MI , OH/RS Cass Tech/Michigan Elite (2022): The Bulldogs add a great finisher in Johnson to go with their flexible lineup.

7. Cougars – Becca Apsey, RS Groves/Legacy (2023): The second Class of 2023 member comes off the board and its Apsey, who has really raised her stock this club season.
8. Lions – Jada DiVita, OH Northville/Legacy (2022): The Lions lock up a solid outside at the end of the third. DiVita has made a big step in her game the last 12 months.
Round 4

Lions – Olivia Kowalkowski Olivia Kowalkowski 5'4" | DS/L Notre Dame Prep | 2021 State MI , L/DS Notre Dame Prep/Michigan Elite (2021): The Lions opt for defense here and go with the battle-tested libero that brings a lot of energy to her team.
2. Cougars – Anna Leigh Alford Anna Leigh Alford 5'9" | S Mt. Pleasant | 2022 MI , S Mt. Pleasant/FaR Out (2022): The Cougars take Alford, an experienced 2022 setter that has to be ecstatic to work with the hitters on this Cougars squad.
3. Wildcats – Karlee Stoll Karlee Stoll 5'7" | S Anchor Bay | 2022 State MI , S Anchor Bay/Legacy (2022): The Wildcats opt for Stoll to run their offense and get the most out of their experience hitters.
4. Bulldogs – Hannah Blaney Hannah Blaney 5'5" | DS/L Saline | 2021 State MI , L/DS Saline/Legacy (2021): The Bulldogs have a lot of flexibility at the net, but are locking in Blaney to captain their defense. She will be up for the task.
5. Eagles – Ava Sarafa Ava Sarafa 6'0" | S Marian | 2023 State #14 Nation MI , S Marian/Michigan Elite (2023): The Eagles decided to go with the young setter to work with their experienced hitters. Sarafa shows a lot of promise at setter as an experienced freshman.

Tigers – Claire Nowicki Claire Nowicki 6'0" | OH Clarkston | 2021 State MI , OH Clarkston/Legacy (2021): The Tigers add another solid six-rotation option in Nowicki, who has the ability to finish at a high rate, but can also pass and serve with the best of them.
7. Falcons – Ainsley Guse Ainsley Guse 6'3" | MB Rochester Stoney Creek | 2021 State MI , MH Stoney Creek/Unified (2021): A towering middle that moves like someone much smaller, Guse is going to be another great weapon for Bishop to utilize.
8. Warriors – Sydney Tomlak Sydney Tomlak 5'11" | OH Stoney Creek | 2022 State #116 Nation MI , OH Stoney Creek/Legacy (2022): Back-to-back Stoney Creek products come off the board. Tomlak is a gamer that has proven she can go swing-for-swing with anyone.
Round 5

2. Falcons – Abby Boyle Abby Boyle 5'7" | DS/L Byron Center | 2021 State MI , L/DS Byron Center/FaR Out (2021): Sensing a run on defensive talent, the Falcons go with Boyle, a proven talent in the back row.
3. Tigers – Lara Sebastian Lara Sebastian 5'7" | DS/L Rochester Adams | 2021 State MI , L/DS Rochester Adams/Legacy (2021): With the Tigers set at the key positions, they go with Sebastian to secure their defense.
4. Eagles – Gracie Danzinger, L/DS East Lansing/Michigan Elite (2021): The run on defense continues. Danzinger is another valuable defensive option and veteran leader in the back row.
5. Bulldogs – Reagan Goeke Reagan Goeke 6'2" | MB Lake Orion | 2021 State MI , MH Lake Orion/Legacy (2021): Goeke could be the top blocker in the state and now finds herself as another weapon on a talented Bulldogs front row.

7. Cougars – Sarah Sylvester Sarah Sylvester 6'3" | MB Marian | 2022 State #126 Nation MI , MH Marian/Michigan Elite (2022): Libero is a need for the Cougars, but they play the board and trust the Lions won’t take a second DS already, so they opt for the hitter they like in Sylvester. The long middle gives this squad a great combo of blocking and finishing.
8. Lions – AJ Ediger AJ Ediger 6'2" | MB Hamilton | 2021 State MI , MH Hamilton (2021): Ediger is a stud basketball star, but she is also a dominant middle in volleyball. Her skillset in basketball translates perfectly for the Lions.
